Gents - I notice a few of you are from NH and that's where I'm located and I'm seriously thinking of trading my BX2350 in for a B3030HSDC - any thoughts? I bought my BX at MB in Plaistow, but I figure I'll talk to folks at Chappel to see who can offer me the sweeter deal, unless you know of any other resources?

Thanks in advance for any info...

Any tractor with a cab is going to have a higher center of gravity than an open station model. The noise level in the 3030 cab can easily be reduced by installing insulation under the floor mat, carpet on top of the mat and similar modifications under the headliner and dashboard.

Just my opinion, but i'd guess MB will win on the lower price, but you'll be happier dealing with Chappel for any service you might need. First i suggest using the search function here to do some reading on the B3030. The only 'issue' with them is that a few owners have complained about vibration. I don't have any complaint in that department. The 3030 is going to be a nice step up from your BX, especially if you use your tractor for snow removal !! My advice is get as many options as you can justify up front. Its cheaper to do it then. One thing i highly recommend is getting an ATI skidsteer style quick connect on the loader. Its the best thing i've added to my tractor. If you'd like to farmiliarize yourself with the 3030 in a non-sales atmosphere, c'mon up. I'm a little north of Concord. Not alot of tractoring you'll be able to do...... but you're welcome to spend an hour getting to know the 3030 with no salesman breathing down the back of you neck. :)

IMHO The B3030HSDCC that I have is the Cadillac (or Lincoln) of the compact tractors. I love it in the winter time when I'm plowing snow nice & warm in a short sleeve shirt & I see my BIL freezing his *** off plowing snow with his 4-wheeler. Even better is when mowing in the summer when it's around 90F & he's sweating his *** off & I'm nice & cool in the A/C cab.

Be sure you get 2 rear hydraulic remotes. You might think you'll never use them but you will.

For what?

For what?

TNT, wood splitter, rear blade angling, trailer power dump, box blade tilt, plow angling, Backhoe, chute rotation for rear snowblower, grapple, hydraulic thumb, grader leveling, ..... need I to go on? :D

Wow! You had me scaried. I've bought 9 Kubotas in 6 years and never bought one of those that you say I or others need two of. I don't know what a TNT is so I may be missing the boat there.:) I don't have some of the other things you mention and don't expect to. I did have a rear blade which never did much for me, maybe it was because I was missing what you said we needed but mine didn't have anywhere on it for hydraulics and it would angle if I pulled a pin and turned it. I have a BB which works fairly well without any hydraulics. I appreciate your response but I guess I'm going to still sleep well at night not having one or two of those.:D

Yes, I agree. I even use my remotes with the 22 year old bush hog (King Kutter) that I bought new. It is a trailer type mower. It's nice to be able to adjust the cutting height without getting off the tractor. I used the mower for about 20 years in back of my Oliver 77 & it sure is alot nicer to use sitting in an A/C cab. Plus it's alot easier to hook up than a three point mower.

Another thing, I'd bet getting remotes installed afterward is expensive on that tractor. It doesn't look like an easy job. I worked that in as part of the deal when I bought it.

I don't understand why when you buy a nice tractor you would want to have to get off it every time you need to make an adjustment on a rear implement? It doesn't make sense to me.

Ok, thanks. My cabbed 3030 is much louder then I thought it would be when I bought it. I guess I was thinking it would be "car like". I've never driven the 3540 cabbed tractor and understand it is very quiet. I think Kubota should have done their homework a little better on isolating noise to the inside. Certainly it is much better then not having the cab. But what a joy to use this past winter with clearing snow. My wife loves it in the summer time too when SHE cuts the grass. She is very allergic to poison ivy and she loves to get inside with her cup of Coke, turns the tunes up and off she goes. For what it's worth I won't go back to a non cabbed tractor!

Did I mention, I am sooooooooo jelous:eek::eek:.

When I was looking to buy a tractor last summer I was all for the B3030 with the cab. Until I tried a L**40 grand series cab tractor. The 3030 is a nice piece of equipment but if you can afford the differance in price, the Grand L series is a realy nice tractor just my opion. I put over a hundred hours on it since July and enjoyed everyone of them.

Had a B7800 for 3 years. Traded it for a L3240 I could afford. Year later traded L3240 to a B3200. The B size is better for my needs. The B3030 is probably close to the price of the L3240. Affording is not a reason to buy a bigger tractor. Determine use to determine size then determine how much you can afford and then determine if you can afford new or used. Just my opinion.

I not trying to say there is anything wrong with the B3030 I just thought that the L series cab was a little nicer in my opinon, just cost a little more.

For those worried about tippyness, I had the same concern on mine until I loaded the tires with Rim Gard this year. With the additional 600#'s on the ground this performed like a whole new tractor. Not only on slopes, but in the snow and ice. This is a MUST as far as I'm concerned if you operate on any rugged terraine. You can also get 1 1/2" whheel spacers which are necessary if you're going to put on chains.

Ductape - thanks for the advice and sorry for the delayed responce. I contacted MB and they gave me a very poor trade in estimate, so all bets are off for now; though I may see what Chappel will do.

You may have to sell outright instead of trading. I don't think Chappel will be any better. When I was tractor shopping Chappel offered me approximately HALF what I ended up selling my B2400 for on Craigslist.
