Hey, first post here. Did a quick search, but did not see what I was looking for.

What would be a fair price for a 2001 New Holland TN65. 2WD, canopy, 500hrs, good tires, no remote hydraulics. I would say good, not excellent condition. Needs a seat.

Also, any idea on ballpark $$ to add a couple of SCVs?

Thanks.

That tractor was around $15-$16k new so I would think $11-$12k would be fair depending on condition.

I don't remember the cost of adding the remotes but the price I paid to add a third remote is on TBN somewhere.

Back in 2004, I paid $500 for a new remote installed by the dealer. With the inflation factor, you'll pay more I'm sure.

$10,000 to $12,000 seems fair, but check the maintenance records if they have any, just to be sure you have a good tractor.

I have a 2000 TN65 4-wd with a loader and 3 remotes. Love the tractor....no problems at all.

That would have to have been a special order tractor not to nave ANY remote valves. The factory base TN came equipped with one rear remote valve.

It probably was special order. It was a State tractor for mowing. they went to 4wd tractors shortly after putting thisone into service. A guy bought it 3 years ago and is now selling. (at least that is the story) He told me that he believes the hours to be accurate.

I think I can buy around $7500. Should i jump on it?

For $7500....I'd buy it. But think about what you're going to use it for before plopping down those kind of dollars.
Usually the state takes pretty good care of their equipment.

MR. wrangler, Welcome....
In 06' I bought a TN65, 2wd, 200 hrs, with Woods 1020 loader, canopy, and 1 set remotes. Tractor was excellent shape, and remains the same. Great Tractor so far. Has done everything I have ask it do and more. I paid around 18K at that time and for mid Ohio that was good price.
Your GOOD shape can be cleaned up to a GREAT shape with just a little elbow, and $$$ if it hasn't been trashed. Seat no biggie, just replace. With only 500 hr's should not have been hurt to bad. Can you find out original owner?
How does the rest of the tractor luck and run? From info on this board adding remotes is $$$$ 500++ Depends on if you will need them.
Hope this helps. Post picts if you buy. ;)

An '01 TN likely has an operator presence switch in the seat. Replacing the seat with a generic model and leaving the switch wiring open or jumpering it will create annoying audible alarm characteristics.

Hi -this is all new to me. I currently have a New Holland TN75, 1880 hours, 4WD, front end loader and forks. I want to sell it as it is just too big for me. In looking at down sizing I am considering either a John Deere or Massey Ferguson. I have 12 acres - 4 of which is hilly land that I want to level where I can and then the rest is pasture that I will be bush hogging. Any suggestions or input is welcome. I am heading towards a 28-33 hp, 4 wd, hydro static - I'm new at this. Hopefully the sale of my New Holland will pay for the compact.
