We live in the mountains of North Carolina. It gets cold here in January.
We are thinking about traveling to Arizona in January and staying for 2 or 3 weeks.
I heard it is nice and warm out in southern Arizona in the winter?
There is a little town called Brenda, Arizona, anyone know anything about the area?

Not very warm there today, 42F right now! Sounds like it's mostly RV parks.

The town is very close to Quartzite, AZ. Lots of RV's for the annual RV show. Hope you have reservations. Unless you are boondocking.

Jan and Feb are the coldest months in AZ. If you want to be warm you are gong to need to be Tucson or south of it. It gets into the 20's here in those months. If you are Phoenix or north you are going to run into lots of snow.

BrBrenda is pretty much the middle of nowhere.

We spend the month of March in Mesa AZ. Always nice weather. When looking for a place to stay in the winter check elevation.

No. We drive down through the Smokies and head across to Nag's Head.

Thats kinda what we were looking for is the middle of nowhere.

Is there any places down around Tombstone like that?
We want to ride our little dual sport motorcycles on some desert dirt roads.

If you are driving. I-40 can have very bad weather as you head west.

And nobody will be driving through the NC mountains on I40 for months since yet another rock slide closed the Interstate. That section of I40 sure is pretty but its also scary seeing metal nets trying to hold back the mountain.

You might give llake havasu a try... its in the colorado river area and is just a touch warmer there. we have been going there every winter for many years and on a whole enjoy it... keep in mind that the locals can be tough to get along with, they generally try hard to belittle "snowbirds"
