Mowing Rear mower deck wheels

Has anyone had any problems with the newer rear mower deck wheels from Power-trac? Just one summer on my deck and the rear wheels are waring out. The wheels wobble all over the place and rub the deck and the bolts are also worn and need replaced. Has anyone found any wheels with some type of bearing in them and grease fitting that work well? I hope to hear from anyone with good results. Thanks

How often did you lube the bearings. I have the old wheels and have added grease fittings. This was good, but the fittings broke off (they were in plastic). I now use a Teflon spray lube prior to every use.

I don't have a specific solution - just a general observation...

PT seems to try to build stuff to be "Good Enough" for their customer base. That's not a complaint. It beats the heck out of the "Well, they probably won't actually sue us" attitude of too many other companies.

In any case, if a call to Terry doesn't get you a solution, check back here. At least one of us has likely figured out a workaround...but call Terry first.
