Tractor
Allis Chalmers 616 (Two) and a Kioti CK30 HST with loader and backhoe
I've now had my tractor for about 9 months. I love it. That said, if I bought today I would do a few things different and wonder what some of you have to say about the same thing.

What I'd do different if I bought today:
1. Get 2 remotes on the back instead of one set
2. Get a QA FEL bucket setup
3. Get a trailer to float the tractor on as part of the whole deal
4. Get pallet forks right away
5. Get the tires loaded

I know the trailer in particular would add a fair bit to the purchase but I had a pretty healthy down payment and the Kioti financing was zero % so I regret not spending a couple of thousand more right at the get go.

What I do not regret was finally buying a decent sized tractor after so many years of waiting.

Woo hoo, just noticed I've past 1000 posts!

I, like you, love the tractor I have. What I would have done different is:

1) Canopy. It sure gets hot out in the summer sun

2) Larger tractor. I would have purchased a M7040. My father in law has implements that are too big for my M5040.

3) Pallet forks.

With the 0% for 60 months I also could have spent a little more money and got the things I need.

1.Backhoe.
2.Cab.
Mrs. said if you do purchase the items plan on working couple more years towards retirement. :(

I would hve definatly added the other 2 rear remotes. I don't have use for them at present but it would have been easier and cheaper to do all 3 when I had the one remote instaled.
I would have looked more seriously at a proper cab, the canopy sure is nice but I sure am jealous of you guys with thse nice factory cabs. Unfortunatly New Holland didn't offer factory cabs in 2003 and the after market cabs looked like sombody built them out of an erector set.
I would have loked more seriously into getting turf tires vs the R4s. Those R4's sure can tear Heck out of the lawn.
Lastly, I love my TC35D, it was paid off a couple of years ago and I have no plans of ever getting rid of it until I no longer need a tractor in my life. But there are times when I wish I had bought a smaller tractor. Easier to trailer, smaller foot print, weight etc. when working in the yard, on the lawn etc.

I should have got a zero turn riding mower rather than a lawn tractor. Much easier to manuver around all the trees.

I would have bought one size up tractor with a cab. I have a Kioti DK45SE.
A trailer, along with a bigger truck to be able to pull it, a 6-7 foot mower. Also a bunch more implements - boxblade, pallet forks, plow, seed drill etc.
On second thought if I had bought all of this up front I would not be able to make the payment on the land where I use what I have, not too mention it would have even more severely tried the patience of SWMBO.
I think I'll stick with what I have and add to it as I go. ;o}

1. Cab: record snow winter last year -15 F is a bit trying
2. Cab: could take my three year old boy out moving snow
3. Cab: seems like my days off fall on rainy days more often than not
Seriously obsessed about getting a cab tractor if you can't tell.

Wouldn't have bought the Ballast Box or I-Match - haven't used either yet and probably never will.

Would have bought the hard lines kit for the FEL in case I ever decide to buy a power angle FEL mounted blade.

Would have bought the drive over QA MMM, BUT, it wasn't available for sale at that time.

I'll second that then I would have a bigger farm & twice as many paid for toys. The only option I would added it a pre-nupt.

I wish I had bought a tractor a little bigger than my JD3120 and pallet forks to handle the 1 ton pallets for the pellet boiler I know own. And a front end snow blower instead of the hydraulic snow plow. Throw in a brush hog and a trailer to haul everything. And the sad part was that I had the cash at the time to do it. After the divorce, I'm sure glad just to have the tractor and the stuff that goes with it.

Next size bigger even though mine has done all I have asked but sometimes with some strain. I also wish I would have gotten the quick attach bucket for the FEL and BH.

I should've done my homework up front...I'd probably have gotten a 2520 instead of the 2305. I should've got a hoe, everybody needs a hoe. and pallet forks, boy those would be handy. maybe a bigger trailer too, and a soil pulverizer, and a landscape rake, and r4 tires instead of r3's, and on and on and on...but what I have works pretty good most of the time.
