For me it would be a LARGER fuel tank, i can only get 6 hrs on my rig.

and i don't like the oil fill plug. . . you would think it would screw on

and i don't like turning 2700 rpms to get full pto

I would like: (in no particular order)
1. A button to be able to switch between tach & hrs.
2. Plastic covers for the zert fittings, it gets old cleaning them out before each lube.
3. I'd like to be able to swivel the seat to use the backhoe without having to get off the tractor.
4. A removable magnetic light bar with lights for the top of the ROPS; the headlights are about useless since the FEL bucket is usually in the way.
5. A hydraulic thumb.
6. Front tires that don't leak.
7. Toothbar on FEL.
8. Bucket hooks on FEL.

My BX25 has been a wonderful tractor, but there is always room for improvement, and I'm sure the price tag would have been a whole lot bigger if it included my want list.

Nice thread! There's more than enough information in here for someone to set up a nice aftermarket add-on manufacturing business.

Let's see...what would I actually buy for the M59....well, a vertical exhaust for sure. I'd be first in line for that one. An emergency brake buzzer - definitely. A height adjustment for the seat - already did that, but it could be improved. And I'd probably hang toolboxes and chain/shovel/hoe/saw holders all over the tractor if someone offered them.

Oh, and you'd think that a tractor with all that HP, hydraulics, and electrics could figure out some way to refuel itself in a manner that didn't involve climbing up on a front tire while hoisting a 5 gallon can of diesel sideways and snaking it under the loader arms. It makes me feel almost guilty when I watch my wife doing that....

That looks like a couple of plastic drums with a battery driven pump and filter...I'm guessing that there is a nozzle on the other side of the wall. Is that what it is? How do you fill the drums? What kind of pump do you recommend? I may make up something like that. But if Kubota marketing department ever reads things like this, my preference would be for the Kubota to have a pump built in so that it could simply sip fuel itself from any type of container. How hard is that?

I was just thinking....don't most Kubotas come with a backup beeper? I know mine did until I asked the dealer to disconnect it. My suspicion is that listening to a backup beeper isn't too popular around the house and most are disconnected. But but could it be rewired as a parking brake alarm?

To expand on that thought....Those things do slow a guy down, but a clever engineer can usually design around the legal limitations and still get a decent design done. The problem often comes down to cost. It can be sad to see a useful mechanical feature get the axe because some other necessity ate up too many bucks in the cost budget. One thing that is always surprising to me is just how inexpensive simple things can be. At the manufacturing design level I bet I could add a toolbox with mounting hardware and a waterproof lid for five bucks. Most of the changes we are talking about in this thread seem to be low dollar mods.

I hope Kubota is paying attention. We've come up with a lot of good ideas here that could be implemented for not much money.

L2800 owner here.

A dipstick to check HST fluid level, rathter than the inspection port. I would also like to see a toolbox on the tractor. Finally, I just hate the switch that turns off the engine if you stand up on the tractor when the PTO is running.

Lots of good suggestions!

B3200 - great tractor but the little things always seem to make a big difference

- ditto on the parking brake indicator
- ditto on the pre-wired plugs for hooking up extra lights
- seat could be even better (have been spoiled by the one on the M)
- dust caps for hydraulic connections for FEL are already not staying on - seem too soft now and keep falling off
- slightly wider stance in the front - not a big deal
- pre-installed 5/16 chain hooks on the bucket at reinforced locations
- MMM rubber bumpers so deck doesn't bang metal to metal when coming up
- and lets not forget about the vibration on this model at certain RPM
- idle seems high but I guess that is emissions related
- integrated remote hydraulic levers similar to B3030
- different design on the FEL hood guard / grill - current setup blocks a lot of light

Nothing on the M7040 stands out other than it seems we just missed getting one of the newer ones that had a turbo...next time..;-)

Annoying as **** but not worth the time to make one.

A screen for in front of the hydraulic cooler like the one for the rad.

A lock for the top link so it will not adjust by itself

As mentioned before, a pull out handle or a crank type 3ph level adjuster

All in all, a great tractor with almost 300 hours on it now and I still enjoy any seat time.

None of my 4 Kubotas have ever had backup alarms.

My Deere skid steer does have one. I disconnected it (the dogs ignored it anyway) but soon after I got an error code on the system! The system is too smart

The skid steer does have a brake alarm and won't let you even try to move if the brake is on. And you can't release the brake unless the seatbelt is on.

Now there's one thing that the M59 has that I wouldn't change...and wish all the other tractors with loaders came with the same feature. I'm talking about the factory loader bucket having two big flat straps welded to the top edge that are parallel to the cutting edge of the bucket and labeled as so...They are easy to see while operating the tractor. Finally (after 40 years) I can confidently tell exactly what the bucket tilt is doing. Duh...What took me so long? It's so simple.....

Guess that the indicator rod would of told me about half of the same thing, but I remember now that I took it off the first day to shut up that rattling sound. Besides, it doesn't show bucket tilt down anyway because the indicator rod disappears into the tube.

Some very good ideas so far. Personally I think this thread would be more helpful if it were broken down by tractor series. For example the fuzzy dice... Just not right on a B series without a cab! LOL They'd get all wet!

Like many of you this summer, I found myself looking for a place to store a pair of loppers, shoves... while mowing without the bucket on. The idea came into my head. (The CFO feels that nothing enters the mind of a teacher during the summer but I proved her wrong!) Why not cut a piece of 3-4 inch PVC pipe with a cap on one end and simply put a hole in the other end that matches the bolt on the ropes? The bottom end rests in the useless cup holder, and the top is attached to the unused ropes bolt. Lopper, and short straight tools fit fine. As I mow if a branch is to low I simply reach for the lopper and no more problem!

Hey Kubota do I get a kick back on this?

One more thing...

With all of the lip Kubota took on the seats on the BX why in Gods (or insert your deity here) name did you put that seat on the B2920 with a BH? Talk about improvements needed!!!!!!!
