Just curios if anyone has used this one and have any thoughts about it good or bad? I'm looking at plumbing this into my front loader bucket and use it for a grapple and such.
Also it doesn't say anything about how weather proof it is?

There are quite a few in use, do a search on the word "diverter" and the part # 9-5117

Thanks, I feel stupid , I didn't even see the 9-5117 number under the pic, I was searching using the P15544 number. :)

WR Long makes a valve kit like the one you just posted , I've been looking into it. I'm not 100% sure as to how it's plumbed in the system yet.

I use one of those on the back of my Toolcat. Works good. I have it wired to flip a switch in the cab to use one set or the other.

I finally found 3RRL's post on the valve, man how time flies when your searching a reading. I've spend the biggest part of the day looking this stuff over. I always thought that if you used the PB you must have a tank return for the cylinders to dump into. Looks like I'll be selling my 3 spool for sure now, any takers ? :) I just have to decide were to order from, I found a similar valve at bailey net but it appears to be a lot bigger in size just for a 2 gallon a minute extra flow, and surplus is a sponsor here.

Well After a LOT of reading, I ordered the Hyvair valve and Subplate with 3/8 NPT, for 122 dollars, should be here Monday :) I have a joystick handle with a trigger and a thumb switch I'm going to wire up on my loader lever to work it. The only thing I'm not sure about is were to mount it, I read in a couple of specs on the Hyvair that it is not waterproof but I see that the WR long kits mount the same valve on the loader brackets were they are open to the weather. Has anyone had any problems with these valves getting wet, I keep my tractor inside but it will get wet once in a while?

Country may I ask were you were able to find the valve and plate for that price, I'm looking at going this route if my price quote comes back to high for me. The best I can figure is the price is going to be around 650 -700 for the kit.

MrZukerman, I found them here

Fremont Industrial Supply, Inc. Home Page

I'm looking at approximately 250 dollars total in my set-up, and very little time. I have many sources here local for hydraulic hose and fittings so that part is not a problem and as for the brackets I'll fab them up in not time flat.
Now you do have to consider buying or building a control knob (I already had one), Quick connectors sets, and special adapter fittings if you need any, these can get expensive especially if you have to start ordering them.

Well the new Hyvair valve and subplate arrived today. The only problem is there is not a lick of instructions with either, so I'm not sure how to hook up the wiring and I'm not sure with way to mount the valve to the subplate to make sure the pressure port is correct. Guess I'll have to make a few calls in the morning, unless someone happens to know.

Here is a picture of a DO3 sub plate. Just bolt the solenoid valve on the sub plate, and the ports should be labeled. It can only go one way. Observe the protrusion on the bottom of the valve. Unless the wires are color coded, I don't think it matters. Put a fuse or CB in-line with the 12v going to the toggle.

Well that figures, My subplate looks like the first pic you showed, cast. But it doesn't have the extra little alignment dowel or hole like the one in the pic. The valve does have the hole in it. Thanks for the info J. J. I'll do some more research. :)

I found this , looks as if the alignment hole should have been between the P port and the B port So I hope that is correct.

Thanks again J.J.

I just spoke with the company and the four mounting holes are differant spacing and the valve can only go one way or all four bolts will not line up. Plus the wiring has been figured out.

I hope over the next few days I can get this thing installed and working.

Sometimes it is helpful to draw up the diagram showing all fittings, and take the valve, sub plate, and drawing to the hydraulic shop, and it may save you several trips back and forth to get correct parts.

Hey countrybumpkin, do you have a link to the write up done by 3RRL, I had read it, did not bookmark it and now have spent hours looking for it again and the danged search feature is not finding it.

Thanks.
