Just a nice story. My uncle has a bx his son a M59 and I recently purchased a B2920. After I took delivery of my tractor, I called my cousin and suggested we visit his dad, and clean up the farm. Using all three of the tractors and RTV,(my uncle's) we graded the road to all the animal fields, cleared a road to the family cemetery, cleaned out the ditches, made some new drainage for the water runoff, and really just enjoyed each others company.

Not much of a story I know, but it was very rewarding seeing all of us together, and our little family of Kubota's as well. I can recall being young and playing in the yard of my uncle's home with toy tractors, and it felt nice to be able to go and help him out on this farm now that I am older. It was also nice to play on their tractors and work with them as well.

In my case, the Kubota family of tractors, made for a good time and bonding with my family.

If I get a chance I will try and post some photos' of the day's work and the tractors as well.

Not much of a story

I'll disagree. It's a good story of a good family activity. It's hard to beat times like that. That would be good even if you had a different brand of tractor.;)

I agree; very good story. Some of my most cherished memories involve working with my family doing things like this.

It's a very good story especially since such tales seem to be so hard to come by.

Thanks for reading and posting to my short little story. It was a very nice day. I have always enjoyed my family and spending time with them, but this was a very special day for me, and I would hope my family as well.

I and I bet a lot of others like me, get so caught up in our own lives and mess, don't take the time to really enjoy our kin folk. My childhood is filled of memories of my uncle and me spending time together. He was a very important person in my development. It was very rewarding to be able to return a small part of the kindness he gave to me now that I am older.

I can't wait to go back and work some more on the farm, and help him get it 'back into shape'.

I would love to hear your stories of Kubota family time or any tractor family time.

Thanks again.

That's a great story about a great day that will always be a great memory! Yet another way that our tractors are useful tools that can do far more than what shows up on the spec sheets.

Probably the most fun I had this summer is when my brother and I had both our tractors working bush hogging his fields. I own 10 acres across the road from his 82, and when I got done cutting my property, I started in on a few fields on his side of the road.

I've cut his property many times over the last 15 years with his tractors (he is a self-employed excavating contractor who works 60-70 hours a week in the summer), but this was the first time we worked together. As I plan to build a home on my land, I am sure it won't be the last time.

Will

Hey, Cousin, I have to say your exactly right. Earlier today, before reading your story, I was thinking about and missing the Times we had with our family. Some which have sinced passed away. How refreshing it was to get toghether with our tractors and help my father. If I did not thank you then, I am thanking you now.

Great story and great replies! I have said many times that part of what is hurting this great country is every family member going in different directions, eating fast food in the car while going from place to place, no time to sit down and eat together and be thankful together as a family. The days of the small farm are going fast if not already gone, times when working together was the norm, times when each child had specific chores to do and there was pride in a job well done. These things are important as are the lessons learned. Never take those times together for granted for like Mr. LBBrown said you will miss those times and the opportunities will one day be no more I too know it well. This was indeed a nice story, do it again soon. Take care-TPS
