actually yes. Remember the L48 has 3 pumps, spin the seat, not get off and mount a backhoe with it's own seat, The lifting power be it FEL or hoe bucket are worlds apart.. You are talking a small commercial machine with 26 gallon per minute up against the Case that is a good basic compact for my size property at 7 or so GPM and therefore, at least in my mind, this was a major down grade in machinery...

As we were talking what is best for our needs or what isn't by matter of opinion, I thought I would post here a major down grade for me.,.. For many, many years of 1 ton Dodge diesels I went backwards to a brand new hemi gas powered half ton, and, I didn't stop there,, A kubota L48 TLB was sold off and a brand new Case 45Hp cab tractor was obtained the same day,, last Friday...

How does the Dodge handle the Case?

COngrats on the new toys, BTW!! :)

the case is for my property only,, no more trailering a machine....

Now for the first scratch and some mud caked underneath and the smell of a dog in the backseat. :)

That Dodge is a nice looking truck LarrayB. With that Hemi - I'm not racing you anytime soon ;-)

Just bought an 09 half ton Crew Cab Dodge Ram with the Hemi yesterday. I got the Crew Cab for hauling the family safely and I will be hauling some firewood and pulling a trailer loaded with firewood. Could have gotten by with the 4.7, but made the mistake of driving the Hemi first. I couldn't go back to the 4.7 after driving the Hemi. Just brings a smile to your face when you mash the throttle. Actually, I was set on the 4.7, but I called my old man when I was at the dealership. He said, "If I was a young guy like yourself, I know I would have the Hemi", so I thought about and said, why not? I'm adding running boards and mud flaps this weekend.

This truck will be replacing the Ranger pictured. We had the Ranger for 12 years, and just decided it was time for a new truck. I'm not brand loyal, I looked at them all, and I liked the look and ride of the Dodge the best, plus they are giving some great incentives on the Dodges now. I like the Lifetime power train warranty, got it rust proofed and undercoated as I plan on keeping it for atleast 10 yrs. Hopefully it will last a while, as I don't plan on working it too hard.

Nice truck! My 03 Ram 1500 HEMI has 77,000 miles on it and still makes me smile when I leave a toll booth / stop light. :D

Those rims look familiar...

Thanks. Yes they do look familiar. My truck is the ST package with some upgrades. I would have rather had the Quad cab for the extra bed length, but the pickens were pretty slim at all the local dealers. My Hemi doesn't have dual exhaust, I would like a little more throaty sound, but oh well. One thing is for sure, it will pin you back in your seat if you step on it.

Hey,

Your ear drums will be happy that you took the crew cab over the quad.... "Dad my legs are sore....Dad I have charlie horses in my legs...Dad Dad Dad...." :)

almost a copy cat :)
I have quite a few of the packages on mine, one including the dual exhaust..

I have to smile when ever I see people buying trucks because they are fast.
Some really get up and go but they are not made to be fast. To each his own. I have had 5 Fords, one Dodge and 2 Chevy trucks. I thought all of them were super trucks. I switched to a diesel this time around for pulling horse trailers.

I bought my truck because at the time it was the most powerful truck with the highest payload and towing capacity in a gas engine / quad cab layout. Being fast as well is just an added feature. You won't be smiling when you see the dealer remove the entire cab on that pretty new truck just to replace a head gasket :D. You couldn't pay me to own a new Ford diesel, my 94 F-350 7.3l diesel is a simple reliable engine though.

that was my first foot out the door with Ford, too. Walked into a dealer service dept and saw the entire cab removed off a 6L and thought. "Man, that's messed-up" :(

Thanks, I really like it. I'll admit though, after we got it home, all I could think was "if I could take it back I would" - it is just difficult for me to part with that kind of money. I've since got over that feeling and I really like it. I'll post some pics when I get the accessories on it this weekend.

By the way, I did not buy the truck because it was fast. I suits my needs perfectly, and the fact that it will pin you back in your seat if you mash it is a bonus, although something I won't do very often. My last truck is still running strong and lasted 12 years, and I won't be happy unless this one lasts as long.

That's what salesmen call "buyer's remorse" and I feel that every time I buy anything that costs a thousand dollars or more.:D

Yep, that's it. Nothing should cost a man that much other than a house or a piece of ground.

Hey I suffer from that too! I thought it was called 'post purchase dissonance' though!. Buyers remorse sounds a little too straightforward.
