Well had to get this thread going again. We had to turn in our 2007 Ford F-150 Super Crew 4x4 when the lease was up a few weeks ago so just prior we went truck shopping. Drove everything on the market in the 1/2 size except for the Ram and ended up with a Nissan Titan. Seemed to fit us the best and the features and creature comfort along with the strong power train, good ground clearance (very important where we live), and good dealer sold us. We had always like the styling, so it was time for a change. The first truck I had was a GM followed by a Toyota, then 3 Fords, a Dodge, then 7 more Fords of which we still own two of, a 2004 F-250 PS 4x4 and a 2006 F-350 PS 4x4.

Well here is the pics. Its the Off Road with 33" x 11.5" x 17" Hankook Mud Terrain tires. It has the Detroit locker on the rear axle, the Big Tow Package, Factory sprayed in Bed Liner and Bed Restraint System, Navigation, XM Radio, Heated Seats, Rockford Fosgate Stereo with Sub Woofer, and about every other option available. The one sore point of the truck is there was no factory installed brake controller like the New F-150 had, none of the others brands have it either, so I just installed the one I had in the F-150 this truck replaced.

I have only towed once with it so far but with 7,000# boat behind it the trucks computer showed 12.9 MPG which is better than the F-150 did. It would only muster 11 MPG.

By the way I did not like the way it sat when we got it so I installed a Tuff Country 2" front end leveling kit. Very easy, only took 1.5 hours and made a world of difference.

Well I did some real towing with the truck last weekend. We towed our 7,000# boat about 280 miles round trip. It averaged 9.6 mpg. I am really impressed with the power and its willingness to get the load rolling.

I also today took my fathers Corvette to a guys place to look at a few items that needed attention. It was about a 90 mile round trip and it did right at 11 mpg with it in tow. I am guessing that load to be right around 5,500# to maybe 6,000# but very low wind resistance.

You bought a Toyota ?

I guess this is for me? No, I bought a Nissan Titan. Owned nothing but Fords most of my life, about 15, with the exception of 1 Honda, 1 Dodge, and 3 GM's. I always like the Titan and after looking over everything on the market and driving all the 2009's except for the Dodge I decided the Titan was the best truck in the 1/2 ton class, for me at least.

I still have my 2004 F-250 Powerstroke 4x4 and a 2006 F-350 Powerstroke 4x4 along with my Saturn.
