Shan Dong / Tashan Tractor

Does anyone Have any info on a Shan Dong Tractor Works Tractor ? The Model is a Tashan 25. I Recently Aquired one and need a few parts even thought the Tractor Runs okay

I may be placing an order for some of these. I'd sure like your honest opinion of the tractor from a users point of view, either privately or here.

Also, it may be that I can get some parts ordered along with mine, but it will likely be 60 to 90 days away. What parts are you looking for?

Have you also posted on CTOA? Maybe someone there who can help sooner.

The Tractor I have Runs Well The bigest complaint I have is that mine is a single Stage clutch which should be no problem for Bush Hogging With the addition of an over run cluych But there is No hole thru the PTO shaft to attach the clutch and its a real Pain to install the Hole while its attached to the tractor. The parts i need are Wear Items such as filters and a few gaskets. Are there any Dealers presently in the US? The Tractor seems to be a good Piece of equipment This one is a 98 Model.

I am a Kama dealer and can get your parts. You can purchase a quick connect overrunning clutch that doesn’t need a hole through the PTO shaft. Give me a call we can talk about it

I have a quick connect, like Buck is talking about. It works great, and you can take it off easily when you don't want to use it.

TaiShan is a baby KAMA. As such, any KAMA dealer should be able to help ya out

Can't tell from your photo Bob, two cylinder or three? Some older ones came with the TY295 thumper, newer ones have the Y385.

The Taishans made by Shandong tractor works have engines made in house, maked SD295 or SD2100. We have a couple of the water pumps for the 2 cyl in stock.

I have a Tashan 254 and am very lost on the post from DD Mattox. I have a single stage cluch also.Is there some way to make it a two stage?

I'm pretty sure the Taishan 254 is a 2 stage clutch.
With that in mind, stopping to put the PTO in gear would be normal operating technique. In order to disengage the PTO clutch, you press the foot pedal "past" where the first stage would disengage...all the way down. In other words, if you only depressed the pedal half way, you are only disengaging the first stage clutch ... your drive train. The PTO clutch would remain engaged at the 1/2 way mark, but the tractor would stop. To disenge the PTO clutch would require completely depressing the clutch pedal all the way down, which disengages both clutches.

This I don't understand.
Raising or lowering the bush hog is done by the 3pt, right? So it would have nothing to do with having the PTO in gear.
Maybe I am missing your meaning?

I think the pump for the 3 pt. hitch is driven off the pto gears. Is your pump mounted to the rear of the tractor over the pto? If that is the case the pto must be running for the 3 pt. lift to work.
