I found a Caroni 4' tiller on CL today! I paid $600. for it and it was worth every penny. It really chews up the soil and leaves it so smooth! Now I need a bigger garden!

Congrats on the Caroni.

I never thought I would want a 3pt tiller. Never even entered my mind. Until I got tired of having to get the angle and the speed of a disk harrow just right. Then, even after I had everything "just right", having to go back over the area with a drag to level and smooth everthing back out. If your garden is already busted up pretty good from years of working the soil, one pass with the 3ph tiller will do ya. If you're breaking new ground for a garden, three or perhaps four passes with it and you're done.

A 3pt tiller is the way to go.

I bought a 56 inch caroni about 5 years ago and I have been very pleased with it. I would hate to think about how many acres it has tilled and still works like it did the day I brought it home.

Keep it greased and the oil levels full and you will get a lot of use out of it.
