Beginning of Spring

Spring has been here for a few weeks now. The redbuds are just amazing, but now the dogwoods and fruit trees are all in bloom too!!! I can't even describe how amazing the azaleas look right now. It's something that I've never seen before. Not to this degree.

I was going to post some photos on my Log Home thread but here are a couple photos of our place right now. The first photo shows some flowers Loretta planted along our rock wall, but the others are all wild flowers.

Rob, my bluebonnets are also just starting to bloom. I think I will have a bumper crop this year. I've spread them around and tripled the size of the area to almost three acres. In a couple of weeks, I should have some photos. I really love the way the wildflowers seem to "paint" the hills around your home and property. When you see that, you wish it could always be like that, but I think having the flowers only each spring makes you appreciate them much more each year. It also gives you a good excuse to put off mowing.

Eddie, are the dogwoods at their peak right now? I've been wanting to take a dogwood tour with Kathy and drive down around ********* and up toward Tyler. If now is a good time, I better get busy and get going.

I'm jealous of all of you in bloom time right now, still a few weeks away in this neck of the woods. We are least supposed to crack 50 degrees today.

Yes, the dogwoods are as good as they get right now. I couldn't begin to guess how much time yo have left, but the news is saying the Azalea Trail in Tyler is going strong until this weekend.
