Hi Guy's,
I have a 710J backhoe with 2000 hrs and recently it has starting flexing or giving a spongy feel to the rear hoe as well as the stablizers, especially if i'm all the way out with the extender, working off to my side and loading trucks the stablizer will have 2-3" play or sponginess to it.
The strange thing though is that the boom and crowd cyl's are doing the same thing only not quite as bad as the stablizers..it almost feels like it had a ride control system for the rear of the machine, the front loader seems to be ok, could it be a relief, anti cavitation valve or maybe the pilot control accumulator?
Ant thoughts or ideas would be appreciated...Thanks for reading

Welcome to TBN:D

Are you sure is the hydraulics? Is the fluid foamy or milky looking after running it?

It almost sounds like the frame may be cracked somewhere?

Yes it is definetly the hydraulics as i can see the rod moving back and forth in the stablizer, boom and crowd cylinders, the oil is good and there is no air getting in to the system at the suction side.
If it was only one circuit then i could chase down packing seals or a cracked seat in the control valve etc but the fact that it is the three separate cylinders showing the symptom is what has me suspecting the relief valves or the accumulator, it is a strange one.
Thanks for the reply :)
