"Textron Financial's profit / loss has little, if any, effect on the stock price.

Not according to what Textron's corporate leaders were quoted to have said!
They are blaming their stock crash almost completely on Textrons financial arm, they keep injecting cash to keep it solvent. Textron's words not ours. Check out the previous posts here or type in textron stock and start reading, you may come away with a different view?
Case
PS My old dog has been barking & howling all night long the last two weeks, he knows something. My guess is that the wolves and coyotes are getting close in the dark, they are closing in. What they don't know is that old dog has got a great big fight left in him, and he can't wait. It's just not time for me to let him out yet....but it is getting closer??????

Reckon Textron Corp would give some of you "young fella's" some stock options to fix that "arms" problem----like re ---organ"----izing some personal----start with giving some of them a "HEART" and a few more a "mind" and some common sense------:)
PS Sounds like that Dog is crimping and pimping for a "FOOD FIGHT"---How big is his food bowl???-----don't mess with the dog bones----are you will not have any "ARMS" left-------:D-----A DOG WILL ONLY HOWL FOR SO LONG UNTIL HE BITES SOMEBODY!!!

Hello, all!

Some potentially very good news. Two news sources verify that LS Mtron is on its way to the U.S. tractor market.

Lessiter Publications writes this story.

Or... just check out the info below.
Tex-tana can read it and weep in their Wheat(ween)ies.

Breaking News: LS Cable to Enter U.S. Market with Its Own Tractor Brand

Ag Equipment Intelligence learned January 21 that South Korean conglomerate LS Cable is directly entering the American market with its own brand and has already started signing up dealers on a limited basis. Until now, LS' presence in America was solely as a supplier, providing compact and utility tractors to the likes of Montana and McCormick.

In late November, LS Cable lost its bid to acquire the defunct Farmtrac North America in Tarboro, N.C., when Montana Tractors made a late $14.1 million offer that surprised many in the industry particularly after LS' lengthy due diligence and intentions to enter the U.S. market with a branded tractor of its own.

"We're putting things together right now for the new company," says Ron Grabowski, a tractor veteran with experience at Mahindra, TAFE, Montana and McCormick. Grabowski is one of four managers helping launch the LS Tractors brand in America. "An advantage we have over distributors is that LS owns the factory," says Grabowski. "That direct line to the factory provides the best communication for parts, service and warranty issues."

Despite the downturn in the American small tractor sales, Grabowski believes that the market is near its floor, and that the timing is now good for the company to be established as sales start to improve. "We're setting up a company that will provide good support for both dealers and their customers."

The company, which intends to hold dealer meetings starting in March, will be located in Tarboro, N.C.

I still wonder what is going to happen to the Indian Escort tractors that Farmtrac used to sell. There are ALOT of them out there and no major parts base for them....well except for the parts that former Farmtrac dealers still hold.

Forum hopping by certain dealers here to bash other brands is out of hand. Balanced censorship? True censorship is interested in the content (quality and presentation) of the information. Not who the information is from. Continued allowance of friends of the site to post with immunity while deleting the replies will destroy this site. I suggest dealers stay with their brands and not comment on others. It is a low life selling tactic that reasonable people see for what it is, a lack of class and poor salesmanship. Certain comments here have been of no value. Some have been total falsehoods with the only purpose being to show a feeling of superiority because of the misfortune of the buyers and dealers of Farmtrac. There is nothing wrong with lacking character. Advertising the fact seems stupid to me. I suggest these simple guidelines. First, ask if the information you are providing is accurate, first hand knowledge. If it is from a friend of a friend of a friend it is hearsay. Second, is it constructive. Bashing is not constructive. If it does not meet those two criteria don't hit Submit. Always read information posted by dealers bad mouthing of other lines as the lowest form of salesmanship.

Dark Shadow-

What is your role in the Farmtrac mess? Dealer, past employee, current Farmtrac tractor owner, potential owner? I normally do not take in accounts postings by people that do not complete their personal / professional profile. Your thoughts will be taken with more interest if you complete your profile.

Just my opinion....

SESS,

The above post was made in a way to conform to the posting guidelines of the site. I could not mention names as that is viewed as personal attacks. I can assure you it is not directed toward any Farmtrac dealer or owner. Read it again with that knowledge. 2+2=4 regardless of who says it. 2+2=5 is not true no matter how much the advertiser/dealer paid to be on the site. I feel that if 2+2=5 is allowed to be said there is no logical reason to delete someone saying they are wrong. The advertisers/dealers that post should understand that they have engaged in an open conversation of their own free will and have opened themselves up to receive comments that they may not like to hear.

I am not aware of Redneckford ever degrading the quality of equipment. He has questioned management styles and ethics. Given the current state of the economy I would guess we all should have been questioning ethics of all companies a long time ago.
