This is my first posting, new member, so im happy to meet everyone.
Im looking at a YM2000 4wd and i am impressed with the way it drove
and features it has over other brands ive had. However, im not real
keen on the noise this has when at idle. Is all this rattle normal? The
dealer had several on the lot and the 2 i tried sounded the same. Also
is this model ok regarding parts, reliabilty etc. Thanks

Best to check the Yanmar forum down below, but in a nutshell, the rattle is most likely normal (I believe it is generally referred to a Yammer-Hammer). The 1300D that I had made that noise, but my F16d (which is a 3 cylinder) does not.

I'm not sure if the YM2000 is 2 or 3 cyl.

Good luck with your search. Take care.

The reason for the noise( hammer) it's a 2 cyl. There is a 2000D ymg mod that is a 3 cyl. Most likely you are looking at a 2 cyl mod
