Just bought our retirement vehicle during big discount sale at end of year. $33,000 Dodge V8 P/U for $21,000. With 20" wheels Head Honcho Suzie and I both had a hard time getting into cab so ordered step rails. Installed them this weekend. First look under truck got me thinking wrong rails were sent/ordered. Instructions showed removing rubber plugs to expose mounting holes. No rubber plugs. After about ten minutes of studying diagrams and trying to locate where holes should be I found the answer. DUCT TAPE. Yup, no rubber plugs, all frame holes were covered with duct tape.

I've been told it can't be used to cover the mouths of all the politicians in Washington. Or maybe it was that I'm not allowed to do that? Hmmm....

My 1989 Toyota Corolla left rear quarter panel is duck tape... Glad I can buy rolls of red to match the paint!

There were no rubber plugs there because the truck left the factory with running boards. When they were removed to lower the price, someone used tape to cover the holes because the rubber plugs were nowhere to be found.

Don't blame the manufacturer...

Do the Italians use Duct Tape? It looks like FIAT has just bought 35% of Chrysler. Maybe the death knell for Chrysler was a bit premature.:D

Isn't Fiat owned by the Italian government, and aren't Fiats the cars that have a photo finish to see which kills them off first, frequent break downs or rust?

I have Dodge Ram 2500 CTD, still under warranty. I don't whether to laugh or cry.

I think the diesels are made there? I know the cab chassis are, like my 07 3500 w/CTD. Also 4500 and 5500's

Mine was built in Mexico. If I look under it and find duct tape, I guess it will mean Red retired down there. :D
