I found that quite often when snowblowing I wanted to increase engine speed to max for the deep snow parts, but otherwise wanted it running at 3/4 throttle for lower noise and wear. My right hand is already quite busy with hydraulic levers for lift and rotating the blower chute rotation. So I added a foot throttle built from motorcycle parts. Yanmar was kind enough to include provisions for a second cable operator on the injector pump and cable housing fixed bracket, so I added a clutch cable from a Honda CR 250, with a specially-turned brass fitting that allows slide-thru, silver-soldered onto the cable. Since the original tractor cable already slid thru too, this makes the two throttles somewhat independent, but either will override the other to increase the speed. Then I used a cut-down clutch lever and mounting perch, and made a bracket to sandwich onto the footrest area of the tractor. Here are the pics, I think it will make sense if you look at them...
In use, I set the hand throttle to 1900 rpm, and do most of the snow work and transport, but when I approach that big drift or re-plow area down by the street, I step on the throttle and increase engine rpms to the new desired speed. After I get thru the deep stuff, I let up on the foot throttle and it returns to 1900 again.
