I've promised photos of the grapple.. I finally got the hoses and connectors last week to finish hooking it up the tractor.

Here is when I first got it home and before getting off the truck.

Off the truck and waiting for me to get parts to make it work.

Hooked up and ready to chomp the new Prius. (No Prii were hurt in the making of this demo)

Test!!! In the last photo can anybody see something wrong with the grapple?

I'll post some action shots when I get to an area I can actually move some trees.

Nice I am still saving the money up for mine.

In the last picture is the one latch/lever for the quick-tach not lined up right to hook up right? Other than that unless it is a trick question I dont see anything wrong.

NICE!! Look forward to some action shots and tips on how to use!
I am expecting a call any day now from Melissa Markham letting me know my unit is ready. I'll then arrange pick up at their site.

Looks like the grapple thumb is mounted backwards?

We almost have a winner. Neither were latched.. I was in hurry.. One side came loose during my playtime. What was nice was I just popped the grapple off, put it back on and then made sure the latches were locked.

Please dont mind the smoke, she's 41 and old enough to do what she wants.:D

Very nice!
I knew those Markham grapples would be a big hit with the guys here. Seems like the unit is excellent and the price is right too.
Hey Wedge, anyway you could post your photos in clickable thumbnails? It would sure help us slow internet connection guys a lot!
Thanks,
Rob-

Thank Wedge, that's very considerate of you.
I used to have fiberoptic connections through Time Warner Cable ... but no more since I moved out here to Podunk.:) I notice the difference and it is astonishing... From super fast to super slow.

One more word,

Treason.

They're the folks that sold our missle secrets to the Chinese the day after Clinton switched them from dept. of defense to commerce, for illegal contributions, of course.
They couldn't hit the broad side of a barn until then. Thanks Hughes.

Out of curiosity, how much does that grapple weigh and how wide is it? I got all fired up about a year ago and was going to build me one. I even bought a super strong (waaaay too much) hydraulic cylinder and laid out most of the steel I would need that I had around the shop. The problem was that not only was it going to take me quite a bit of time, but it was going to weigh about 1500 pounds or more. That's when I figured that I had a fatal flaw somewhere in my design.
