10 million would just be the beginning, the bulk of that money will go to the number 1 and only major secured creditor. LS Mtron will then have to capitalize the company in order to have some working capital to begin operations. For 10 million, if approved, they will get some real estate, some inventory, and what is left of the dealer network. If they treat the dealers well and help us get the noose off our necks with the big floor plan company, they could end up with some very grateful and dedicated dealers... THis deal would make NC the headquarters for all the major Korean brands, leaving only branson out (not sure where their HQ is now). As I recall, LS is the one that filed suit that started all this rolling about this time last year... they had a lot of unsecured debt owed by Farmtrac. Maybe they will come out this way.

I am extremely happy with the recent news that I just read regarding the proposed sale. For fear of jinxing anything, I will not say congratulations just yet. I will say that you have my highest hopes that it all continues through as planned. Additionally, when it is all said and done, the fraternity of dealers(and legal staff) needs to give themselves a big pat on the back for enduring through it all and seeing it through to resolution. I am not even connected to the issue at that level that all of you are and can only imagine how hard it has been for everyone involved. On a closing note for now, I do want to say something. I have never met any of you. I would assume that none of you have shops anywhere near my location (Portersville, PA), but just from the limited exposure and interaction that I have had through this forum, you all symbolize what the industry is about. Loyalty to customer and integrity to self. Through this forum, I feel as if I have strangely known all of you for years......that is the kind of people that you are and that is why you all are in this industry. Moreover, that is why you will prevail.

morning all,i have a 545dtc that i bought new ,lost all the 0 interest and warrenty ,made me real happy.but its been a good little tractor,use it to lift 1800 lbs round bales ,problem is it builds up to much hydrolic pressure in the rear end and leaks from wheel seals and boots.does any have same problem? And where was this model made,does anyone have any shop manuals for it?any info would be great.

Where are you from nebsmoker? Maybe someone could guide you through relieving the pressure in the boots. If you could PM me maybe I could point you to a nearby dealer or you could PM SESS they have extensive experience in correcting the boot problem. At any rate you would need to be able to take off they tire and wheel and disassemble the brake housing to fix it. If you are not able to handle that kind of repair then you need the closest dealer. When did you buy the tractor?

Ryan-I feel the same way as Tommybr and Longtrman. Thank you for your kind words. The fight isnt over yet by any means, but we might be getting there. LS Mtron has alot of work ahead of them with this purchase of the Farmtrac assets. In my opinion, they need a dealer network to sell ANYTHING. If the floor plan company does not get off our backs-LS Mtron will have to start from scratch with dealers because we will not be in business much longer! LS Cable which is now LS Mtron is a great company with a great product. Can't wait to see these new tractors they will have in person! Stay tuned...........:D

I have some experience with the pressure build-up your tractor has and have a comprehensive repair for it. I can include pictures to help you or your mechanic through it. It involves restricting the volume of oil going to the brakes, and making new passages to drain it away from them. If your local dealer is a member of the Farmtrac Dealer's Forum, he might already know about it, since one of the benefits of the forum has been a huge amount of sharing between the dealers, both with parts and information. If not, I will help you if you want. js

I have a friend with a 555dtc that has this problem........said he thought the brakes dropped and is blocking oil flow.......pics and any help with be appreciated.......are seals needed for repair and if they are where can we get them?
Thanks for any help.......tractor only has 47 hours!!

I decided to just put the directions out here so anyone can see it. My brother and I have developed what appears to be a good solution for brake boot failures on wet brake tractors where they keep swelling up and leaking. This fix is not going to help tractors with failures due to sun damage, or damage done by sticks or wire. We decided there is far too much oil going into the brake housing and it can't drain out fast enough. We braze the fitting shut at the brake housing where the steel hydraulic line is attached, then drill a .078" hole through it (#27 drill bit) in order to make a restrictor and slow down the oil flow. These brakes don't actually require that much oil to work. When we first tried this we found we hadn't completely solved the problem, since the boots still puffed up, indicating even that small amount of oil couldn't get out of the housing, so my brother figured out how to fix that, too. He removes a small amount of brake friction material from the brake disc at the outer end of the five elongated holes on both sides, just at the outer ends of the holes. The little grooves the factory cuts in the brake material are the only passages the oil has to get from the outer side of the brakes to the inner axle housing and back to the reservoir. Removing the material on the ends of the elongated holes makes a much easier place for the oil to get back to the reservoir. The last thing he does is drill a 1/2" hole in the flat space at the 6 o'clock position under the axle hole in the main brake housing for the oil to go back into the rear axle. This lowers the oil level in the brake housing so it is under the level of the brake boot. I hope this helps some of you folks. JS

Im having the same problem with my 555 and the dealer couldnt figure out what the problem was.

I have a FarmTrac 60 and my Prefilter Housing has become damaged and I was wondering if anyone knows where I might find one? I have called and searched for the part and am not having much luck finding one. I have been told by one tractor place that they could try to get one but it would be up to 6 - 8 months for them to get this part if they could get it. The part number is ESL10436. If anyone knows where I can get this part please let me know THANKS for any help.
