Not enough people like you left in the world Robert. Everyone wants to blame everyone else! Mistakes are part of life, owning up to a mistake is vital in the growth process of life! Live and learn the hard way sometimes is the best medicine. Hind site is a HUGE teacher-just ask the Farmtrac dealers you know!

Good luck with everything and hopefully you will come out good in the end.

I know all to well about people wanting to blame others. While talking to a couple lawyers about various things I mentioned the fact I was out of work because of my back injury. Both lawyers immediately tried to get me to sue. I told them it was my own fault I fell and that I worked for my father. They wanted me to sue anyway, said it would be the insurance company that would be sued and not my father personally. I then explained to them that the insurance company has been great with this and has paid for everything without question so I had no reason to sue them. Eventually I made my point that I wasn't going to sue for my own mistake. Then recently a guy I know tried to get me to sue also. He finally admitted I had a higher morale character then he did as he would have sued instantly:rolleyes:

I don't mind earning what I have and I know I have to work hard to accomplish that. It is the way I was raised. I can't see how people can blame others just to clear themselves or make a few extra dollars. But as I said, I had a good role model and still do (although, he isn't being such a good role model for my daughter:rolleyes:)

Just a quick update. I received a letter from the dealer threatening to take me to court if I don't pay to entire bill with interest by October 15th:rolleyes:

I'd say there is a charge for the loan and use of your tractor since they have not made it available to you for use.

I've never seen a dealer that does extra work without the..."Call" ...You have to agree to the extra work....Where the **** can you put $13'000 in that tractor..Sureley there was a point where you could've said " @!#$ you I'll pay the labour and take tractor home in pieces" before they fitted anything?
The best place to sell now is auctions....Private ads and dealers cash offers are cheaper..A complete 360 from what i've always done?

When I took the tractor to them my thoughts were if it was going to be too much to repair I would just have them close it back up and pay them for their time and bring it home and park it till I could either afford to repair it or part it out.

As for any call, I was called once and told about the pto being worn and I agreed to have them repair it but the motor was all not repaired according to how we agreed. Then they replaced the oil pump and turbo without my knowledge which was another $1500 just for the parts.

For what they actually did to the tractor the bill was appropriate. The problem was they were not suppose to do that much as I made it clear to the service manager I didn't have a lot of money to sink in this tractor at the time. And as things turned out I fell and have not been able to crawl out of the financial hole as a result. I am working on it but everytime I think I am close to being ahead of the game something happens to push me back. But its all good:)
