We recently picked up a real nice 2004 TS100A and have done quite a bit of mowing and moldboard-plowing with it....its been a real nice and capable tractor so far.

One thing that really bothers us is the flow rate of the 3 point hitch. Its rather slow and for plowing that is a problem as the plow will drag several feet before digging in - forcing us to slow down at every turn. The obvious solution is to increase the rate that the hitch drops. The non-obvious thing is how to do that. All of the JD units we have - have a simple adjustable knob in the cockpit. The TS100A has no such knob and no mention of any adjustment in the manual.

I've talked to 3 different NH dealers and amazingly...none of them could come up with a how-to answer on where this adjustment is and how to change it.

So how about the experts on this board???

If it has electronic draft control, the second knob from the left on the EDC panel controls rate of drop. If it has manual draft control and Lift-O-Matic, tighten the L-O-M cable at the hitch valve end. About 1 full turn should help.

Have you ordered an operator's manual yet?

It has the manual w/ LOM. I'll get a look at the cable and see what I can find.

I have an operator's manual which mentions the rate control but never actually outlines how to make the adjustment or where it is.

I do have a maintenance manual on order...cut a deal w/ my dealer for $200 for the whole book.

The L-O-M cable adjustment is separate and distinct from the hitch drop rate adjustment. But a cable a little too long will slow the hitch drop rate, and about 15% of LOM equipped tractors need this adjustment. The factory drop rate setting is usually adequate if the cable is in adjustment.
