Interesting. I'm curious about how you made this identification. I'm no expert in Case tractors so I was going by the front wheels/grill and the rear fenders. The serial number got me in the ballpark, but I couldn't narrow the choices (C, D, LA, R, S, and V).

Of the four case models of that era (late 40's early 50's), the V, S, D and L, The V series didn't have magnito ignition, the D series and L series were longer blocks and as such you would not be able to see the top of the valve cover, and the serial number ends in S (S-series) and begins in 54 (subtract 4 from the first two numbers and you have the year), a 1950 Case S (the case SC was the Row Crop so it was a tricycle front, The Case SO was an orchard tractor so it has covers over the rear wheels, and the case SI was very rare.
If I lived closer, I'd be interested. . . . . .

I wish you lived closer too, unfortunately being up in Manitoba would make it hard to ship. It would be nice to see it go to someone who would appreciate it. But with all that info maybe I can find someone who would like it just as much.

Hey guys thanks for all your help. Here's the update. It's been sold for $800 to a guy who likes to restore them here in Manitoba.
I appreciate all the info it sold really fast once we put it online.
