FarmTrac Troubles

MessickFarmEqu;1466281] but I fail to see how Textron has done anything that any lender would not be doing.

Messick, I ask that you read the article that was just previously posted, then if you think Textron is not at fault I ask you to keep doing business with them. I on the other hand choose not to be involved with a so called American company (textron) that likes to deal with our enemy! Textron was found guilty of bribery. Yes bribery to sadam. READ THE ARTICLE, READ THE FINES ASSESED BY THE US GOVERNMENT, READ OTHER GOVERNMENT REPORTS ON TEXTRON. Textron was found guility of bribery and adding that bribe to the UN oil for food deal. I would like to think that you do not know much about the company (textron) that you seem to be endorsing. They may be telling you one thing and doing another. Your turn will come. You are only a number to them. I was once allied with textron and was treated like a very good customer and paid my bills.
There is a lot that you don't know about the Farmtrac situation, the farmtrac dealers can't let it out all at this time but a companies history is their future. Seems pretty dark for Textron!
Case
PS Beware all who floorplan with textron for you are guilty by association for it was your interest payments to Textron that helped pay these bribes to an enemy regime!

Maybe we can set up donation cans all over the united states to help Textron pay the fine-----please donate a few dollars to a greedy US corp that got caught bribing people in other countries---by the way they finance these products and they build these products will you please buy a few so that they can continue to do they part to fight world terrorism----the more money they make the more bribes they can pay---that helps you and me right!!!---- What a great sticker on a can---heck a barrel---heck an oil barrel----heck oil barrels at all the newspapers and TV stations---they might get the message---P>S> if you own Textron stock this might be a g--0--0--d- time to sell before all these "Donations" come rolling in.---by the way i'm not a stock broker, I live in Louisiana--we trade politicans for a hobby!!!!! one pocket to another!!!

Textron you must give the dealers what they need to move these tractors. If your esteemed upper management does not see that the media phase is begining, to be followed by a direct move to contact your customers, you have wasted a great deal on your education. This help would be in the best interest of all involved and can happen without the dealers giving up legal rights or textron admitting anything. The dealers don't have much more to lose. You do! This is not said as a threat but as advice from someone who knows much better than your people just how resilient equipment dealers are and how good their ability to remember is.

This whole thing seems so trivial compared to the Fannie/Freddie fiasco at hand. Maybe TexTron had something to do with with with F&F s***storm to help get the smell off of themselves. Sounds like many poor business decisions were made, not a global conspiracy. Time to dust yourselves off and move on.

John---- while you a dusting just send one dealer enough money to pay off say 10 tractors that Textron is asking them to pay insurance and interest on every month----don't think a duster will cover all those expenses----most people do not understand the gravity of the situation on several several small dealers that have alot of tractors on their lots that they did not order nor sign for----but Textron is expecting them to pay interest and insurance on---if they do not continue to pay the interest and insurance on the FarmTrac line all other lines of product will be in jeopardy---because when Textron starts putting liens on all your personal property and your house the other companies just pull their stuff out--- leaving you with nothing to sell and bills still due---don't see how a dusting will solve that problem unless you got a few million to spare---- oh!yea!! not your problem right!!!wrong answer as competition gets less the price of other products and services go up!!!!your cost go up too!!!!!

Did you fella's not sign a contract with Textron? Are you or they in violation of the terms of the contract? I am not totally unsynpathetic to your plight. In trying to understand it better I have been trying to follow this lengthy post but it has become increasingly difficult with the various conspiracy theories and the cryptic nature of the commentary. I myself have lost a couple of hundred thousand dollars in the tech collapse and believe me I was plenty ticked. So I ended up getting "dusted" pretty well myself, I didn't mean to trivialize your plight with the dusting, just an expression.
If you look at Enron, HealthSouth and WorldCom you will see many thousands of people holding the proverbial "bag". I just do not see too many "Geraldo's" waiting to pounce on your unfortunate story. It looks like a combination of factors aligned to bring about FT's demise. These same factors are causing many other businesses to feel pain as well. In fact with the unemployment rate at 6.1 % Nationally, the US isn't feeling so well either.
