A splendid tractor
Model Year: 2005
I've used it to mow. To plow snow. To move stone & gravel by the cubic yard with the bucket, about 25 yards of it over the last few years. With our last tractor on our hills, I'd go down them in a free fall. Aim towards the bottom, and pray. With the Ventrac, I can smoothly go half way down the hill, stop, and then back up the hill if I want to do so. No tire scrub to tear up the lawn when mowing. The only (minor) thing that has gone wrong in 4 years now, is we've had to replace the cooling fan on the rear transaxle twice. If a branch gets kicked up into the rear unit and drawn into the rear cooling fan, the plastic fan blades are immediately destroyed. Access is easy enough though to replace the fan though, taking only a few minutes. I'd happily buy this machine again.
Pros: 4wd, quick change of implements, small footprint in back of our garage.
