1965 Lawn Boy
Model Year: 1965
This was given to me when the lady's son used it with no oil in the gas. I had been using and working on 4 strokes with no experience on 2 strokes. I took it apart to tinker with it and found I could get it running with a new piston & rings, con. rod and brg. and muffler and cyl. gasket. Been using it since about 1980. Have had to strengthen the deck and machine the area of the exhaust port gasket. I did rebore it oversise after many years of use. Doing great now. I won't lend it to anybody due to the lack of safety compared to modern mowers. - Henry
Pros: Very light, easy to push, easy to start, parts available.
Cons: 18" cut, cannot weld the deck, wheel mount system.
