IH B450
Model Year: 1946
I own a weekend mountain farm in northern South Africa with no agricultural activity. My main goal is to maintain the fauna (leopard, small mountain antelope, warthog etc) and flora (or soft bushveld as we call it---wild fig, protea and amarula trees). In the winters, fires are our greatest enemy and I used my old B450 to maintain the fires breaks and roads on steep and rocky inclines where flood control in the wet season is important in order to prevent damage and erosion. She is heavy and reliable but I would prefer 4X4. Obtaining parts is expensive (front tyre $200, glow plugs $70 etc).
Pros: Heavy, simple to operate and reliable.
Cons: Parts availability.
