PATSEASYCHANGE Greenwell
Great Concept, Poor Durability
Model Year: 2013

I have been using a quick hitch from Harbor Freight ($80) for 5 years with great success, zero maintenance. Bought Pat's Easy Change to have more flexibility with the top mount on a new arena drag. Used the product for 3 hours brush mowing (light and easy weeds) and the thing fell apart. The latches that hold the pins in broke off, as well as a few other parts. Unable to use anymore. Went back to my quick hitch which has given me zero trouble.

Pros: Concept.
Cons: Durability.

The Wife Loves It..
Model Year: 2013

We bought our Mahindra 4010 last fall. The implement list is as follows box blade, grader blade, rototiller, brush hog, trailer mover. We love that my wife can drop and hook up all by herself. My wife does more work on the tractor than I do. Pat's Easy Change is just that easy...easy on easy off. One of the best things about it is there is on pinch points, no trying to wiggle in the pins.

Pros: Easy on easy off.
Cons: None.

Pat's Easy Change
Model Year: 1956

Hello, Neat item, but it is not a new idea. Back in the mid to late 1950's International Harvestor came out with what they called "Fast Hitch". It was the same concept but a heavier duty design. Their's involved a 1" thick tong added to the implement that came to a spear point that had a square notch cut into it, that hooked into a receiver that had a spring loaded latch. I had such a hitch on my 1956 Farmall 100 which was a Farmall Super "A" Tractor with a Farmall Super "C" engine in it. For the Framall 100s, 130s, and 140s they had a single tong quick hitch receiver. For the larger Super "C" Tractors they had a double tong Quick Hitch arrangement. It was very handy to use just backing your tractor into The implement tong, hearing it's quick hitch lock click then driving off with the implement hooked up without leaving the tractor seat. I had a small rope on my receiver lock so that I could drop the implement and unhook it without ever leaving the tractor seat. I could never understand why this type of excellent quick hitch design did not flood the market and make the previous old school dinosaur 3-Point hitch a thing of the past. With a quick hitch you did not need the center sway bar link like they used on the three point hitches. The tong supported all of the implement weight and kept it from swaying side to side. It looks like this one will spark new life into a quick hitch set up.

Pros: Ease of hooking and unhooking of implements.
Cons: None.

Easy Change Adds Length
Model Year: 0

You may need to add a longer PTO shaft to your tool box. Pat's makes your arms longer and your PTO shaft may come apart.

Pros: HUGE time saver, no more getting up and down.
Cons: Should have a left handed and a right handed side.

Pat's Easy Change System
Model Year: 2012

I purchased the quick hitch cat 2 size. I do a lot of research before I make any purchase. I called Dennis at Trickmytractor 3 times with question's about the product. Had all my question's answered and call's returned. The hitch's work great and I would recommend them to anyone. A real labor saver.

Pros: One man operation hooking up.
Cons: None at this time.

Excellent Product
Model Year: 0

How much do we like Pat's Quick Hitch? We've bought three sets of 'em, for three different tractors. That alone is a very convincing argument for what we think of Pat's Quick Hitch. With these quick hitches, I no longer put off swapping implements - a couple of minutes, and no sweating, no swearing, and we're good to go. Like others here, we'd also tried the U-framed rigid quick hitch and found those too much trouble (modding implements). The factory has also been great to work with - we needed some longer pins because we have sway bars and they had exactly what we wanted and shipped them immediately. Plus, this is an American-designed and -made product!!! BTW, I highly recommend getting sway bars if your tractor has mounting bosses. I made one side adjustable (welded in a top link) and it lets me match up implements very easily - I don't have to use the spreader bar. Plus, things like box blades and bush hogs don't bang back & forth anymore.

Pros: Easy to use, safer, faster implement changing.
Cons: None.

Pat's Easy Change
Model Year: 2012

The 4 bolts which are meant to align the hitch to the lift arm actually disable the action of the ball at the end of the lift arm. This does not allow the arm to articulate correctly as the implement is raise and lowered. Therefore, when the implement is raised, the hitch leans in at the top toward the center of the tractor. Also, it looks like I will need longer top link and PTO shaft. I'm returning the product and going back to my JD iMatch.

Pros: None.
Cons: As stated in review text.

Save Your Back
Model Year: 2012

Excellent solution to avoid the need to muscle up those heavy implements to connect! As a senior citizen I can change up all my implements without help. The only problem I'm having that I haven't figured out is one of the hitch pins keeps coming off and the implement comes off that side! It's happened 4 times in one day. Although I use the hitch pin and washer provided, somehow the pin and washer are being ejected from the implement.

Pros: No lifting implements, fast hookups
Cons: need longer 3 pt toplink, extends length by 2-3 inches.

It makes hooking your equipment so much easier. The only problem that I have had is the springs broke and was hard to replace them. Would definetly recommend it. Norm

Pros: Makes it much easier to hook equipment.
Cons: Springs seemed too light and broke letting equipment unhook.

PATSEASYCHANGE Greenwell
Very Nice Addition to My Little Tractor
Model Year: 2011

I've had the Pat's Easy change system for a year now and it has truly made it a much easier job hooking up implements on my compact tractor. I've used it on a bush hog, tiller, cultivator, bedder, plow and middle buster with absolutely no problems. It is very helpful on the heavier pieces---especially the bush hog and tiller. It is a very high quality piece and would highly recommend it to anyone that wants to make life a little easier.

Pros: Make hooking 3 point implements up MUCH easier. Compatible with anything I've tried it with.
Cons: It is a little pricy, but worth the cash if you switch out implements a lot.

Had no problem with it. Had to alter the 2 bottom arms of the 3 point. They were just a fraction wide, but it works fine. Much easier hooking up attachments.

Pros: Does what it says.
Cons: None.

Good Product--Be Careful!
Model Year: 2003

The Pat's easy change is so easy to use that made a dangerous mistake...I hooked up my tiller and was happily tilling the garden last year when about 50 yards in the first row I hit a rock. The tiller climbed up the rock, OUT OF THE EASY CHANGE, and along my 3ph lower links before I could shut it down. The fault is 100% mine. I had the easy-change 'propped open' and had forgotten to release it, so only gravity was holding the tiller into the hooks. Some damage did occur to the easy change spring setup, so now its less safe than new, as the springs got damaged, but it's still working. It's a great product, I love it, but make sure you don't get complacent with the position of the latch. (Used on Kubota B2710)

Pros: Easy to use.
Cons: Added length of 3ph links can cause equipment issues.

PATSEASYCHANGE Greenwell
Good for Most Things
Model Year: 2010

I imagined this product would eliminate my needing to get on and off tractor to hook things up. That's only true to some extent as I still need to adjust width of 3 pt arms. Also the EZ change arms don't stay perpendicular to the implement as the 3 pt arms are made narrower and wider, so I ended up removing the shims so the EZ change arms could float around. This made it a bit more difficult to pick up implements. Overall, they've made things easier, but not to the extent I imagined.

Pros: Easy to pickup implement once arms are adjusted properly.
Cons: Still need to adjust arm width, so not as big a benefit as I imagined.

Pat's Easy Change
Model Year: 0

The easy change works well and doesn't have a fixed width to the 2 lower portions of the 3 point hitch so one can use implements with varying attachment width (unlike other quick change systems I've seen). Over the years the spring snapped, but it still works fine.

Pros: Quick change of tractor implements.
Cons: Slightly extends the distance from tractor.

PATSEASYCHANGE Greenwell
Work/Back/Sweat Saver
Model Year: 2008

Bought Pats Easy Change and have never regretted it. Best money I've ever spent and built heavy duty. I use it on a 40 horse Foton Tractor and it fits all my implements. It was easy to install and I've never had to adjust it since putting it on. I really appreciate it in hooking up my rear tine tiller and my 6 foot massive Brush Bull rotary cutter which weighs about 1000 pounds. If I back up to that big rascal and it's not lined up on one side I just use the push finger to move it back and align it, lift and it's locked on. Although I do have the adjuster rod to align the lift arms all my implements are the same width. If one of them is off a little I can move it about an inch with a stick from the tractor seat, lift and click it's on. Unhooking just lift the unlatching lever, drop the lift arms and its unhooked. Love it. Last year, I bought a Hydraulink top link and that completes the easiest hook up and adjusting for level system anyone could want. Hydraulink also absorbs shock form that heavy Brush Bull (I didn't realize how much there was until I used it). Greenwell was selling those too I think. Would I recommend Pat's Easy Change hitch? You bet. At 69 years old, wouldn't want to be without it.

Pros: Great---saves the back/work/sweat/cussing.
Cons: None.

Easy Change
Model Year: 2010

Well made, complete kit, good instructions. Works as advertised, makes three-point connections easier and safer. I had to weld pads on my lift arms to make the Cat 2 Easy Change fit - old tractor, lift arms too thin. Because the Easy Change extends the lift arms, I had to get a longer top link. I'm not entirely happy with the U-bolt connection, which tends to loosen, though it has caused no problems. The Easy Change makes a solid connection with the stock lift arm mounting hole anyway, so the full strength of the regular lift arms is there. Good product, well made, works without changing the basic 3-point linkage - you can always go back. Would be easier to justify the purchase if the price could be lowered, but I think we have no right to expect bargains in solid US-made equipment these days.

Pros: Definitely makes 3-point connections easier and more safe.
Cons: U-bolt connection could be more secure.
