Model Year: 2012

So far so good. It is doing everything that I need it to do at the moment. Nice machine!

Pros: Easy to use.
Cons: Poorly written and illustrated manuals for a newbie and I do not like the International symbols on switches and controls.

Great machine, this is my second 3720, loaded with backhoe and mid PTO but no cab. Plenty of power. This one had front bearing failure my last one did not. I ordered all of the highest load rated tires and equipment too. At least it was still under warranty. It lost hydraulic power one day and it has never returned to what it was when new. The dealer states it is still working within the factory specs. Now I have to gun the engine to get anything done. Still a good machine, hope to get this figured out someday before warranty is over.

Pros: Outstanding machine.
Cons: After power loss, no solution can be found.

Air Conditioner Insuficiency & Overall Performance
Model Year: 2006

Air Conditioner has never fully delivered to mfg. specification while in practical use, although the service manager at the dealership insisted that it was fine, "it's fine". That was in April of 2006, when summer came it as very apparent that it was not working FINE! So I called again, "It's still not working properly". He said, you are out of warranty, and wouldn't do any thing about it. Even after much work from A to Z on it, it still has not been solved! That was when it had about 400 hours on it. Now it has about 650 hrs on it. Even though the factory representative said we "wouldn't know until summer of this year if the last "fix would work". Well it didn't work and now he says they "have done all they can do" and I still don't have the problem solved! I am still left alone without a solution. The factory apparently, doesn't know it has a problem with these units or is ignoring it. We have also have noticed instability in the unit, I think that's because of the cab and the higher center of gravity that it causes. We are not on flat ground, so this really matters. It has caused concern, so we ended up putting extensions on the rear wheels and reversing the wheels on the front end. We also put water in the back tires, all this has helped with the stability. This was at my own cost which was at cost of more than $800. Another thing that I have noticed is that dust and debris easily clog the filters, screens and radiator mesh when working anything dry. One of the JD technicians stated that he felt the A/C unit was under powered for the cab it needed to cool; for the job it needed to do. This the very first time JD came out with the cab on this size compact tractor and the A/C.

Pros: It has good name recognition. Unit does most jobs okay.
Cons: A/C has never performed adequately. Stability & center of gravity is a real concern.

Love This Little Sucker!
Model Year: 2011

I've used my 3720 for just about everything over the past year; digging post holes, clearing fence lines and pasture trails, maintaining roads and driveways, moving dirt and brush, shredding, hauling firewood and whatever else needed hauling, etc. In other words, it's great for just about everything I've needed it for (keeping it's size in mind). I have to agree with Dave, though, the AC design ain't the best and it can't keep up on those 100+ days, but it works great most of the time. Haven't found any major problems and I thank my wife everyday for talking me into getting the cab model! What a gal!

Pros: Good power for size, easy to operate and maintain, compact size helps get into tight spots, it's Green.
Cons: Light in the britches without ballast, narrow wheelbase makes it feel awfully tippy on slopes.

1 Year Old JD3720
Model Year: 2010

I upgraded from a 2305 to a 3720 'primarily' to allow me to carry heavier attachments on the rear. I can now lift 2200lbs at the 3pt hitch and can use my 800lb wood chipper with ease. I put up a new barn immediately after buying the tractor and used it to move several huge mounds of dirt, gravel, drag trees, flail mow the entire site, and ran my chipper for 10hrs straight with 7 guys feeding it wood. I added flood lights to the rops and also purchased an AF11 6' front blade, 4' flail mower, and the above mentioned wood chipper. It has more than enough power to handle everything I've thrown at it and I'm very glad with my purchase.

Pros: Plenty of power, ease of use.
Cons: Tippy feeling, slop in front loader controls.

Cab Air Conditioning System
Model Year: 2008

The cab air conditioning system is poorly designed. The intakes for the system are directly above the back window. This creates a big problem when you are using a rotary cutter as all of the dirt, seeds and grass are collected on the filter which becomes clogged within 30 minutes to an hour. The result is a very hot cab and often the fine dirt goes past the filter and clogs the evaporator coils which must be hosed out. The intakes should have been moved to the sides as in the JD 101E, which requires much less attention. The AC system is undersized to cope with 100 degree days in the field.

Pros: A great small tractor for mowing and small projects.
Cons: Cab AC System needs major redesign.

First and probably only tractor I will own. The climate controlled cab is first class. Mainly used for snow removal at my residence at 8,300' in Colorado, otherwise it's parked in the garage. Wish I had more time to use it but too busy at work.

Pros: Green paint.
Cons: Green money.

Unstoppable Deere 3720
Model Year: 2006

I purchased this used tractor earlier this year with 1160 hours and have been very happy with a couple of minor problems. After 4 months of use, I found that the front end drive was not working when I bought it--someone had taken a lot of trouble to hide it and my John Deere (Faivre Implement) dealer found it & fixed it for about $2200. My 60" belly mower (7-Iron) had the rear deck wheel break off, but it was easily repaired. This tractor has way more power than I need since I mow 20 acres of tree farm and keep my logging trails clear of debris. I also use this to pull large oak tree trunks out of the woods for processing. It is much better designed & built than my JD2520 & 790.

Pros: Sturdy construction & 44HP, arrrghh! Great dealer network.
Cons: Front End Loader is a bit more difficult to remove & install.

I love this tractor, it is by far the nicest machine I have owned to date. It runs circles around my Inlaws larger Kubota :)

Pros: Great power, Easy to Operate, trouble free
