Kubota B7100HST
I have seen recent posts on putting power steering on a B7100. I put power steering on mine many years ago. I used a unit made for a B7200, part # 96319-3831-1. I had to adapt it, but it was not too difficult. I had to replace the front half of the hydraulic block with one for a front snowblower to tap into the tractor hydraulics. I also used a hydraulic block from a B8200, because it had outlets for the power steering. I fed it from the new hydraulic block and the return went back to the block. The only downside has been that the power steering takes 1 gal. of the 3 gal. hydraulic output and the 3 pt. will not raise at idle. This has not been a problem and this inconvenience is way offset by the convenience of the power steering.

Do you have any pictures of the install?

Thanks,
Charles

Man I would have paid dearly for that B7200 conversion.(at least 1,000 for factory kit)

Here are some pictures. This is my first try at this, so I hope it works. You can see I had to fabricate some attachment brackets, but hhis wan not difficult.

Does the unit on the left side sense your input and then add assist? All the stuff on the right side is just additional hydraulic block?

Thanks!

You are correct. The unit on the left is activated from the pitman arm through the drag link. As you turn the wheel it pushes or pulls the drag link which then turns the wheels right or left. This is all fed from the hydraulics on the right side of the tractor. It has worked very well for me for many years.

Thank you very much for the pictures.:D :D

How does this addition affect the other hydraulics?

That part number looks like it now crosses to the owners/parts manual for a 7200.

I wonder what happens if that unit goes out on you? Is it totally not supported by Kubota anymore? I wonder if they actually made that actuator or if it is available somewhere.
