I posted this on the general repair thread.
I am working on my neighbors Zd25F mower for a no start. The starter was the initial problem, replaced the starter, the battery was half full and was topped with distilled water and charged. Fuses good , voltage at the glow plugs, ohm tested glow plugs, fuel filters were change, fuel was drained and refilled fresh. battery was tested after recharge and tested good. I am wanting to know if the battery is not completely 100% even though tested as so and not turning the starter fast enough. There is lots of thick smoke when trying to start. The starter initially spins faster at the first try of starting. I am not familiar with diesel engines, but I am mechanically inclined as my occupation is an automotive tech. This was running in the fall when put away for the winter and was serviced in the fall. I also have fuel at the injectors when bled. Stumped:confused2:
Any help is appreciated Thanks Scott
