So I took some quick measurements today and it sure looks like the 1511 seat will fit my 331 just dandy. I think I'm going to pull the trigger and order one. They sure ain't cheap, but less expensive than back surgery.

I did put a 1511 air ride seat on my 331. It's pretty much a direct fit. I did have to open up the hole for the new seat wiring harness connector and a bigger grommet. You'll need a 4 pin connector for your seat switch and 12V + & Ground for the seat compressor motor. The seat rides great. So now I have a 31HP 72 Cut without DPF and without spending 18K. The Kubota 1511 seat isn't the cheapest approach, but it sure was easy and the ride height stayed about the same. Probably cheaper than back surgery.

Now that you have used it for awhile how is it riding?
To me it feels like night and day. There are area's that were a field at one time and were almost un-mowable with the 331 and mechanical suspension seat. Now it's no problem however I still prefer to use the 2710 with 72" belly mower on those areas. Other areas that were just OK before are now a breeze. I was kind of a skeptic that an air ride could make that big of a difference, now I'm a believer. Expensive option yes, but worth is for me. So I bought a used 331-72 with 380 hrs on it, fixed a bunch of stuff the previous owner let go, and added the air ride seat. So It's like a new 1511 without DEF and Regens for 1/2 the cost.

How much $$ was the seat? My 1211 seat is incredible compared to my Hustler.
If I recall it was around $1,350 from Messick's Kubota dealer. Shipping was free to the dealer and I picked it up there. Not a cheap way to go. There are other aftermarket air ride seats but they will probably require additional modifications and your ride height might end up higher which can cause other ergonomic problems.
