got a problem hooking my john deere snow blower to my john deere 165 tractor 38, was in pieces and i have it mounted but cant seem to find where the belt goes and how to lift it, maybe i dont have all the parts?

We will need a bit more info and a pic or two will help. If you can get the pics on your computer, just follow the "Manage Attachments" box under advanced post. A browse box will pop up and take you through it.

new to all this so i hope it comes across ok, plus the only numbers i could get were, snowblower #m02460x596117 and tractor #mod165x477997, thanks

I suggest you go to jdparts and register (free) as a user. That will get you access to the parts lists and let you put in the model no. 165. Pick out your garden tractor and then you can go to the "attachments" list under the model 165. There you will look under "sectional index" and can go to the different images for what the parts are supposed to be.
Give it a shot and see what you find.
