I,m trying to find out if any one knows anything about the YTO brand tractor made in China , or knows of anyone that has one or of any dealers in the states that offers service & or parts for these tractors .

I bought an almost new 304 less then a year ago & at that time there were 3 dealers I was told which all appear to have gone out of buisness . :(

Any info would be apreciated . Thanks in advance .

cowboy 357, I also purchased a 304 in wichita falls. That dealer s service is terrible. I would not be susprised if he is out of business. Have u had any issues with your tractor? My main one has been the rubber hoses they used only last a year or two. Also the attachment point for the PTO engagment lever started leaking and still trying to get it repaired. email me at kermone @hotmail. com and maybe we can help each other.

Hi Folks

I own a 2008 YTO , X704, I purchased this tractor new , maintain 20 acres of field and 180 acre woodlot . I am very happy with my chinese tractor , like a lot of people it was the price that made my choice to purchase a YTO. I purchased from a local dealer, I have 500 hours on it , the only thing I have purchased for it are lubricants and filters. Being mechanically inclined is an asset , when I purchased new it was assembled at dealership ,I still was able to find multiple stupid issues, such as dash instruments not being plugged in, main tractor wiring harness has many identical plugs , a few wires were actually plugged in wrong places.
These issues aside I am happy with my tractor,I could not afford a new brand name tractor.
I use a BH,bush hog, potato digger, tiller,I plow snow on 2 miles of private road with a county snowblade.
I would purchase same tractor again,I grew up always having farm tractors around me , I would give my YTO a high rating.
I live in SouthWest New Brunswick, Canada

Troyse, thanks for your reply. I also purchased the yto primarily based on price and features and have been pretty well pleased. I only use mine for brush hogging and front end loader capabilities. I have been disappointed with the service for parts, repair advice, and warranty service for this tractor. Where do u get your filters(oil, fuel, etc)? What brands -type of lubricants do u use for differential, hydraulics, motor oil? Great to hear from another yto owner. Wish we had our own desiginated forum her, but I guess there is not enough of us. Hows things with our neighbors up north? Here in OKlahoma we have 100 plus degree temps and no rain in sight.

Hi Mustmach
Here in New Brunswick we might reach 85 degrees F 4 or 5 days in the summer, the norm is in the 70's in the summer, rain is normally not a concern we seem to always have some just when we need it.
I also have been disappointed with the service, I purchased my tractor from a Tytan International dealer, he was selling for Mark Leonard out of Washington State. This local dealer was a super guy and his heart was in the right place, however he is retired and only sells tractors as a hobby and does not seem to be interested in service. I am quite mechanically inclined and am capable of doing whatever my tractor may need, so far my only major work has been at the time of original purchase, the dealer gave me a good price and warned me to go over the tractor very carefully and check everything, after a week of evenings spent tightning bolts and checking wiring, replacing lubricants and multiple other small issues which for me were just a minor annoyance because I was anxious to use the tractor, I now feel I have a reliable tractor. The tractor is well designed but quality control and inspection at the factory seems very poor.
With the price I paid this was worth the effort and it familiarized me with the tractor, I have been in contact with Mark Leonard at Tytan who still does business with YTO , he says he will supply anything I need , so far I have not needed anything from him.
When I needed manuals I contacted YTO directly through their website, they immediately put the 2 manuals on a DHL courier, exactly 7 days later they arrived from China to my door in New Brunswick, it did not cost me one penny.
For filters I cross referenced everything from the chinese filters to Baldwin which I get just up the road from my house, the local dealer also has all the original chinese filters, however for example the oil filter chinese version is $30.00, baldwin filter is $8.00 .
For fuel I use the regular ultra low sulfur diesel from the local service station, I also add some conditioner only because my tractors fuel tank holds 35 gallons and I am concerned about diesel bugs as the fuel sometimes sits for long periods of time.
I use the 15W40 supreme diesel engine oil and the Multigrade TDH oil in my combined transmission hydraulic and differential system.
when it comes time that I may need parts, I may need to wait a week, but I have confidence I will be able to get what I need, Chinese seem to use the same parts on a lot of different tractors, all you need to know is what tractors use what parts, I already know that a lot of the regular maintenance type of parts such as alternators, starters, etc I can get from the Jinma dealers.
I have a bush hog, potato digger, backhoe, snow blade(gets a lot of use) , tiller , multiple other farm attachments. I maintain an old family homestead, currently have 3/4 of an acre of potatoes planted. This is just a hobby, I do not get any income from my farming interests.
When I purchased I received the standard 1 year and max hours (can't remember #) , I did not make any claims so I cannot comment on how that service would have been, I am happy with tractor understanding that I paid for what I got and I feel I got a good value for my dollar.

Hi, koko. Glad you found this site. There are never dumb questions. We all learn from each other. I am not a mechanic, but usually try to complete repairs myself if possible. Where did you buy your tractor and do you have an active dealer? What will you be using your tractor to do?
