Yanmar/YT359
I have only 35 hours on a Yanmar 2019, 359, and the Joystick causes a question, pulling Up, and left into the corner of the range, the UP lift stops, and I can hear the pump struggling, I do a quick movement out of the corner, and the lift continues, there are no other "dead" spots on the control, it stops a nice smooth loading sequence. I have 30 years of loader operation, I like 'smooth'.
Any suggestions? Solutions ?

Wonderful Tractor!

I have a YT235 with similar issues. It also has the 3rd function kit installed and joystick that is the same as the YT3 series. I have about 400 hours on it and it has been a great tractor.

First symptom was weak lift on the front end loader.
Second problem was a hard line blew underneath the drivers area. This triggered a warranty repair. The hard line was replaced and the quick connect couplers were replaced. The couplers were the problem according to Yanmar.
Third symptom was dead spots in the joystick.
Fourth symptom was the curl function happening on its own. It is at the dealer now waiting to get the loader valves replaced. They are on back order from Japan. Again Yanmar attributed this to the bad couplers.

My joy stick got real sticky and would even fail to move the bucket. I traced the issue to the cable end rods down on the bottom of the cab area. If you trace the cable ends to their connection there are sliding rods that connect to the cable ends and "slide" through a bolted on fitting that pulls the hydraulic valves. The get very loaded with friction, they are "dry" and after some hours tend to start to freeze up. Some spray on grease did the trick, problem solved. Might check this out on your tractor.

I know what you mean. On my Kubota the joystick didn't seem quite right so I took off the cover to lube it. What I found under the cover was that the joystick was just a stalk with a bunch of motorcycle control cables leading down to the actual hydraulic valve under the floor and covered with mud. What a disappointing surprise.

Think of all the expense to do that and all the reliability they gave up just to advertise having a joystick control. A standard two-lever loader valve would have done exactly the same job for a fraction of the cost and never needed attention.

I do find that having a simple two lever works very well on the loader, however I do prefer joystick for a backhoe.

I also think that a 2 lever loader control would make it much easier to do 2 functions at the same time on those tractors that are hard to find the sweet spot with a joystick.
