I have a low budget of about 5k. i found a yanmar 1500d 650 hrs per the ad, who actually knows, bush hog loader, back blade and single bottom plow. i also found a kubota l185dt with loader and back blade, engine rebuilt 100 hrs ago, not sure to what extent.

i have one acre that is a bit of a wreck, we are doing lots of landscaping projects, putting in about 5k sq feet of garden, including raised beds and in ground rows, adding to the fruit trees. I would want to get a grapple for it. i have a bit of experience working on mechanics and hydraulics.

very similar tractors. I will not use them to mow. plan will be maybe a 4 ft tiller, moving mulch and brush, using it to help install a large patio, I would like forks as well.

or am i crazy and should save up a few more dollars and keep on shoveling mulch.

I am willing to drive a good distance for the right deal.

i also found a NH 1010 for 10k that i could mow with, includes mmm, back blade, loader. i am going to call on it and try to talk him down.

I am thinking about a used 36 to 48 commercial walk behind for mowing. I think this may actually be easier than my current cub or mowing with any tractor, and the more landscaping we do, the less grass we have. back yard is about 20k sg feet, will be 75% grass and front is about 15k sq feet but only 50% grass, i also mow a 50 ft by 100 ft easement between the state road and my lot, and about 20ft by 200 feet of an abandoned field next door. (with the permission of the HOA that owns it, of which i am not part of)

The L185DT is a great little tractor. I don't know anything about the Yanmar, but you can't go wrong with that Kubota.

how important is 4 wheel drive? i have a line on an l200 2wd as well.

also, how important is a live pto?

ok... ha. i am trying to get up to wyoming to look at the kubota. busy weekend with a very good friends wedding. It was the guys fatherinlaws or some such. so should be interesting. going to look at a AC 5020 / hinomoto e232? i think is the oem number. also sold as a dutz alice, and a mf 210 on Sat. 4wd, loader, new rear ag tires, just have to talk her down on the price. looks like pretty good shape with the normal fade and wear, no center pto or live pto options. Looks like you could get a MMM for this one. listed at 7200. i think i may bite at 600 or 65 if its really nice.
