I looked at the wiring diagaram that you posted. I do not understand how the circuit works or was intended to work. I have always believed that you you must understand how anything works or is suposed to in order to make it work right. Is there a section in you manual that describes how the charging circuit works? (i.e. theory of opeation, seqence of operation, or testing) I'm looking for answers for specific questions, is the alternator output A/C or D/C, and what exactly does the current limiter do?

BTY; Looking at Hoye's site, the 135 alternator is twice as much as the one on the 1610, although physically they appear to be similiar.
