YM 1500D and Sunpro Gauges

Good morning all. I am in the process of installing my 1.5 inch Sunpro oil pressure and water temp gauges, along with my voltmeter. I will post pics when I am done, but I just wanted to say that all the hints, previous posts and info ya'll have provided have made this easy for me. Got the right adapters, etc on the first trip to the parts store. And by the way, this little unit is running 40 psi on oil pressure. I will have the rest of the gauges installed by the end of the week. I do have to really work every now and then. For you purists out there, I am drilling holes in the dash to mount the gauges.
My next project will involve wiring, since none of the light switches, turn signals, etc work, but I will save that for another post.
Again, thanks to everyone who contributes to this board. I hope that in the future I will be helpful to someone as well.

Congrats on gettting the gauges in. I love them. The 40 for oil seems good to me...that what my 1500 does.

If you need a wiring diagram, one is in the translated manual from Hoye Tractor . I have one for the 1500 and the diagram is in the back. Hoye are good people and supporting them also supports your future parts availability.

A while back you did a post on installing a voltmeter. Did you ever complet the project and hoq did you connect the wiring ?

A voltmeter is the easiest gauge you can hookup on a tractor.

Get the volt meter, mount it, run it's '-' wire to the battery '-', and then run the gauges '+' wire to the switched side of your ignition switch. When you turn the key on, you will see battery condition, as well as be able to monitor it while using the tractor.

( this assumes a negative ground system )

Sorry. Instead of a voltmeter I have a D C amp meter. Whould it connect the same way? I, getting sparks when I try to connect this way.

An Ammeter is a parallel circuit your have to cut the charge line and run the wire through the gage. On these tractors the Alt. generates AC voltage so you have to cut in after the voltage reg.
Soundguy, correct me if I'm wrong. I've done it on cars but never a tractor.
