Hello,
Thanks for all the help, now I need to know:
1. Do the deisel engines always sound like a chevy with a bad lifter?, it's even worse when first started.
2. Are they always so loud?, my ears were ringing after taking mine up and down the road.
3. Should I be needing to use the glow-plug warmer even when it's sixty degrees out?

The Iseki with glow plugs almost always needs them to start right. I am so used to diesels, they sound like music to me.
Each one has it's own sound.

1. Yes, that's the sound of a compression engine.
2. Yes. That's about a 20 or 22:1 compression ratio.
NASCAR ain't close. NHRA is. Factory gas engines aren't even in the same league.
3. Yes. Makes starting easier. Doesn't wear the battery down. Doesn't wear the starter as much.
