Hello everyone,
I am about to install a third function valve and really thought I had a handle on it. I have the found in the following pdf.
http://www.ansungusa.com/pdf/PartsManuals/FELK-MX2150QB-OldModel.pdf

Enclosures are:
1) Picture of device on side of tractor engine
2) Picture of Besko Valve
3) Screen capture of Besko Valve from the above PDF

I have a Besko Valve on the BL00 loader of my Branson 2800h. The P/B and P lines from the valve go to the "device" on the side of the engine. I have no idea what that device is or what its purpose is.

I had assumed that I connect P/B line to the third function valve in series with the hose that is connected to P/B port and tee into the Tank port. But now I am not sure.

Any help or insights appreciated. Thank you John.

The "device" is simply a plugin to allow adding another valve easily. The PB port on your existing Besko valve goes to the P port on your new valve instead of to the plugin. The PB port on the new valve then goes to the plugin port from which you just removed the hose. The T port on the new valve needs to tee into the T tank line from the Besko valve or go directly to tank somewhere.

I am assuming that your third function valve is another directional control valve and not a selector valve.

Palen,

Yes I am installing a control valve: Hydraulic Third / 3rd Function Valve Kit w/ Joystick Handle for Tractor/Loader, 13 GPM - FREE SHIPPING control valve.

After hours of hunting on the net I think that I understand the circuit. I assume that:
1) disconnect and plug the second line that goes from the pump to the HPCO/Power Beyond (upper left on my current valve).
2) Adapt the disconnected line to the power input to my new valve (which has a relief valve)
3) Tee into the tank line (the bottom left line of my current valve)

And of course get all the lines going to my grapple.

Thank you for your help. John.

John,
On your branson the device on your tractor is how Branson adds the Option of a FEL valve. The pressure comes from the pump to this block and with the cover turned like in your picture the oil is diverted out to the FEL valve so this is pressure into the FEL valve. The line from your FEL valve that connects to rear port of this block feeds the 3PH and is your power beyond line from the FEL.

3rd hose from the FEL valve going back to transmission housing is tank.

The page that your link goes to has the plumbing pictured at the bottom of the page.

1) disconnect and plug the second line that goes from the pump to the HPCO/Power Beyond (upper left on my current valve).
NO, They recommend disconnecting your existing power beyond line and using it as the supply for the new valve,
then you will need a new power beyond plug for your new valve, which will connect to the hose removed from your loader valve power beyond.

2) Adapt the disconnected line to the power input to my new valve (which has a relief valve)
No, your disconnected line should go to the power beyond of your new valve.

3) Tee into the tank line (the bottom left line of my current valve)
Yes , the tank return from your new valve can tee into your existing tank return line

Just to close the loop. The "Device" is two separate connections. The top connection is the hyd power out from pump and the bottom connector is the hyd in from Power Beyond HPCO being routed to 3-point hitch.
Thanks, john
