Kubota BX2200
Thanks again to all the people of TBN. After looking at the discussions here and talking to my dealer, I decided to upgrade from a BX2200 to a BX22. I thought about going bigger, but my dealer suggested that the BX22 was a better fit. He strongly favors sub-frame mounts over 3-point mounts. He's had some folks with 4672's on smaller B-series damage the tractors. I think he might have meant I would be less likely to cause problems with a BX22 than a 4672 on a B7500 or B2410.

Anyway, I took delivery last Friday, and the BX2200 went to it's new home on Saturday. For just about 24 hours, I was a two-tractor owner. I got about 7 hours of playing with the hoe over the weekend, and I love it! So much so that I am tempted to re-do the trenches I dug last year with a middle buster and shovel (you know, those things with a person attached to one end?). I can now do in an hour what used to take a looong day, and I am still learning to use it. I've got some pictures, but can't post them yet.

Kevin

PS Anyone looking for a used B21 with 56 hours (and none with the hoe), Moore Farm Equipment in Hendersonville, NC has one. He is asking 21K.

Kewl! I am glad to see more people getting the BX22 and enjoying it. I just got mine last week and love it! I like it because its small enough to get in places but yet big enough to get the job done. The backhoe really makes it a universal little machine. I know you will enjoy it! Everytime I start mine up the little diesel makes me happy......LOL ENJOY!!!!!!!!!!

Kevin - Congratulations on the '22. Almost a year I've had mine and the grin is still there!! Chuck

I've had mine almost a year as well with no major complaints at all! I did end up buying my most useful attatchment yesterday. It is a 48" Kodiak Boxblade with 3 curved shanks. I was struggling to make a new driveway with my 5' rear blade and I decided it just wansn't going to cut it. With the Boxblade I made a few passes with the shanks down then removed the shanks. I must say the new driveway is now sooooo smooth and level. Now all it needs is 60 or so tons of gravel on top /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Chris,

I guess if you just bought it yesterday and can already say it's your most useful implement, then I better run out and get one too /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif I actually have a neighbor's gravel drive to maintain now, so I can now justify it.

Congrats on the new BX-22. It's a great machine...everything I thought it would be and more. There are bigger and more capable tractors, but for many folks, it's just the right combination of size and functionality for the price.
