So last year while wrestling a downed walnut tree, I managed to tear off the front headlight / grill surround. Dammage was minimal, and I was able to glue and screw it back together - but it won't take another hit, and I shudder to think about how much that pice of plastic would cost.

So not again....

I like that you put the winch mount in there as well. Looks really good, i am sure you will find it really usefull. One last thing i would do, is get the rubber bumpers off of semi trailers when they back in to buildings. Put that on your grill guard, then you can use it as a push bumper for moving stuff around.

Nice work. What gauge - thickness of expanded metal did you use? Thanks in advance for your reply.

creekbend - I'd put money on 3/4" x #9 for the expanded... What do I win? :D

Sounds about right - I really don't remember the gauge, but it's heavy enough.
