OK, 2003 TC30 TRACTOR ONLY looks brand new . 240 Hours, HST, the guy keeps it in a barn. The tires still have the flashing on them! It doesn't even have dust on it. He wants $7,200. I'm in northwest Arkansas. Any ideas or comments

Thanks to all

Sounds like a good deal to me if the TC 30 has FWD (front wheel drive).

I paid about $10K for my 2004 TC 30 gear model (plus another $3K or so for the FEL) in Jun 04. Looks to me like a low hour 2003 TC 30 HST for $7.2K is a great price.

As with any used piece of complex machinery, I suggest you have a qualified mechanic check it out. There may be a reason for the $7.2K price that you won't like once it's sitting in your field.

Yes... The next post about this from you should include pictures of that tractor at your place. :)

That's a very good deal and if I came across it, I'd have that tractor with a rear finish mower sitting in my yard.

Thanks guys. I'm a residential contractor and I would use this NH for moving dirt , rock, spreading gravel etc.... My 25 hp Agracat does these jobs pretty well, but the darn thing keeps breaking little stuff. Do you think the tc30 with a Koyker 160 fel and a 5ft BB would be more dependable? I'm new to NH, but I see them everywhere.

Thanks

I love my TC 30, but I'm a weekend and after work user, so I have only put 420 hours on the rig in the 38 months I've had it. It's a tough, dependable machine (I've had no need for any repairs), but I am not sure it's an appropriate model for a professional who will depend upon it for several hours of every working day.

Step back a few minutes and consider why your Agracat keeps breaking small things. It may be because you are asking it to provide a level of effort the tractor designers did not intend the machine to do. If you are comfortable with the fact that you are not pushing the rig too hard, then the TC 30 may be the right choice.

Good point VAC. In really try not to over use my tractor. I guess I'm a bit wary now of the overall reliability of my Chinese tractor.

Thanks

I think that Koyker 160 is about the right size for the TC30 if you stick with the 1-3/4" cylinders. The 2" ones will exceed the NH7308 loader specs, and I would not recommend putting that much stress on the front axle.

The NH TC30 is a simple, but well-built tractor. Essentially, you are getting a Japanese tractor at a Chinese tractor price just because it has 240 hours on it. Since you are a contractor and will haul the tractor site-to-site, the TC30 will simplify that process. Having the entire NH dealer network as support would also give me a warm feeling. As long as that tractor is not abused, I don't see any reason it can't perform 8 hr per day, every day. I think the HST will shine on the job.

I would be careful of who operates it, because a "bull-headed" operator can easily beat up most any tractor.

One other thing...
You might get more knowledgable people about the Koyker FEL on the Chinese tractor forums. I have not seen many of those on New Hollands.

Thanks Jinman. I usually operate my own equipment because I like to control abuse and the quality of the work performed. I've been very satisfied with th Koyker 160. No problems at all.

Thanks for the replies
