I bought my 4310 last summer specifically for some serious snowblowing. It replaced an older Kubota L185DT that couldn't cut the mustard with a 5 foot rear snowblower. I was hoping the 4310 would do the job when the snow really started coming down, and the answer is in: It Does! I am very happy with it.

As the winter goes on and we get some drifting I probably won't be able to resist posting more pictures, but here's one for now. I don't know if you can see the big grin on my face. It's kind of dangerous to grin at 8 degrees F, your teeth might freeze.

That does look like fun.

Last year, after 35 years of 'facing' the wind but still enjoying plowing snow, I bought a snowmobile'rs helmet, with the flip down front and flip down face shield. It really made the snow plowing task MUCH MORE enjoyable. Wish I had thought of it sooner. With a blower, it might be even more worthwhile.

Enjoy.
We are without snow so far this winter. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif My snow plow is still rolled up agin' the shed wall. This week in the minus digits, and next week predicted 40's and maybe rain (although that rain just dropped off the 'radar' screen).

That's a great idea. It's probably too late to get a message to the north pole, but I think I'll start looking around for one. Thanks.

Tom,

That is a great looking set up, I can only imagine how well it works! I did get to test out my new combo (2210 and the 46" snowthrower) earlier in the week, but yesterday was near 60 and everything has already melted -- I guess you're getting the winter that we had for the last few years! /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Great idea about the snowmobile helmet. Sounds like an essential to me. Just wish we got more snow. Here is a link to the most economical and color semi appopriate I could find.

Isn't moving snow a ball!

Now, we don't normally get what you folks in MI do...and the area to clear cannot justify a blower...

But, even pushing with a rear blade is some of my favorite seat time.

Enjoy your snow!

That is the price I paid for mine, at a snowmobile shop in northern Wisconsin about a year ago. I think it was priced wrong because it has the flip up visor, as well as the chin piece also flips up. Needs more green, but the yellow is a good Deere match.

Got me to wondering if back in the JX Deere snowmobile years if they also had Deere snow suits and helmets. Might be some of those floating around yet, if they did.

Well it sounded like a great idea, but maybe kind of pricey for me, especially considering I don't really need the noggin protection I would be paying for. I think what I really need is one of those leather helmets with goggles and a scarf that the old World War I fighter pilots wore. Like Snoopy. I would be quite the dashing figure while blowing snow in a stiff wind.

There is a lot of snowmobile activity up here in northern Michigan, so maybe I will run across a deal on a helmet if I keep my eyes peeled.

Here's a picture that shows the snow we got recently. Sorry, but there's no tractor in it.
