Everyone, thanks for all the help you gave me in diagnosing my issues and helping me get this YM2500 up and running(pretty well).
I will try to answer most of the questions everyone had and list out some of the stuff I found.
YM2500 Information:
Oil Filter: Carquest 85334
Oil: ~5-6 Quarts
Hydraulic/Transmission Fluid: I used JD 303 - 5 Gallons
Attached are two pictures.
1. 3pt LOCK. Tighten it to lock the 3pt.
2. Speed lever. Controls the speed of the 3pt hitch.
3. This turnbuckle is used to adjust the movement/sync of the 3pt hitch. My tractor guy says it's very easy to BREAK your 3pt if you don't know what you're doing.
4. This square metal bar is supposed to move FREELY on the bar it's attached to. I had a problem where my 3pt would not stay in one position, it was either ALL the way up or ALL the way down(this is called draft mode). My tractor guy lubed up this whole assembly and adjusted #3 a little to get my 3pt hitch working properly. Now when I put the lever in a specific place the 3pt hitch stays there.
5. This lever selects "regular" or "draft" mode. Draft mode supposedly means the 3pt goes all the way up, or all the way down with just a touch of the control lever on the right side of the seat.
6. This is the friction plate I had to adjust in order to make the lever stay in the place I wanted. If it's loose the spring under the seat constantly pulls the lever back to center.
My tractor was serviced near Mobile, Alabama, at Southern Farm Equipment. 7120 Highway 90, Irvington, Alabama 36544. 251-957-2857
