Great news, I for one would love to see them come back the the U.S.A. market place. I never thought about owning a yellow & white tractor but this news sure perks my ears.

I'm betting this will have ZERO effect on the gray market tractors. This announcement probably does not mean that yanmar is going to start selling tractors. I think it means that Yanmar has entered into an agreement with CC and will build CC's small tractors. This will probably be exactly like yanmar did with john deere back when they built most of deere's small tractors (650,750,850, 55 series, 790 and 4100 among probably others). I think that Yanmar will still consider grays as the ******* step children that they will keep hid in the closet. Of course I could be wrong.

I suspect a major, if not primary, reason for Yanmar to disown the Asian market tractors imported into the US by 3rd parties is to limit their exposure to product liability litigation in the US. I don't see that this cooperative agreement with Cub Cadet does anything to reduce that exposure. Therefore, I can't see that this signals any softening in Yanmar's position relative to those tractors.
