Hello! Looking for some help sourcing a couple of rear axle shafts. I had no power to the back wheels so I am assuming the other axle looks the same as this one. 😬

Sorry, can't help with sourcing parts but you may only need to repair one side. Because of the differential if one wheel spins the other stays stationary unless you engage the differential lock.

If it were me I would fix the obvious broken side and then see if everything works as it should before pulling apart the other side.

I hope this helps.. Best of luck!!!

well truth be told when I bought the tractor I noticed only one rear wheel would spin so I would utilize the diff lock probable more than I should. So while pushing snow I decided to unlock the brakes for each side and force the wheel that was spinning to not and that’s when I lost all rear wheel power. That leads me to believe they are both broken….

A brake lockup could do that, too.
Have you tried to cross reference your tractor with other Yanmar models and even some John Deere machines ?

Sounds to me as though you have a different issue in the rear end as well. If the other axle was sheered like this one you would not be able to move at all without the differential lock being engaged all the time. We would need more information as to what would happen when driver inputs were given to brakes and diff lock in order to potentially figure out whats going on.

Just trying to help.

I’ll check into that. Any ideas where I can find that info? I’ve read that the F435 is similar but I’m not sure

I didn’t realize the 4wd was just a switch on the dash so when I purchased the tractor they had it it 4wd so it seemed like it worked fine (shame on me for not doing my due diligence)

Update: turns out all I need is this intermediate shaft. Trying every source I have. Any input would be great.
