Yanmar ex3200 or Kioti Ck30HST

Back again with indecision. 3 acres in Texas hill country, flat and the big trees gone. Will have to mow, haul mulch and small rock. A lot of small trees and brush to remove. I have looked at almost every tractor around 30 hp and am down to these 2. Please advise. Thanks

Which one fits you better? Is one more comfortable than the other? I think that the seat is better on the Kioti? :confused3: Sit on each one and get the one that is most comfortable. After hours in the seat, best to have what feels the best.

What Brian said. I compared the same two, I much preferred the ergonomics and setup on the CK30, but a friend of mine preferred the Yanmar, it is up to you. In the end you are the one going to be spending the hours 'in the seat' and you need to be comfortable, both are good machines.

I think the EX3200 is very similar to John Deere 3005. Yanmar builds the 3005 for JD.

The CK30 is good tractor but a common problem with them is the sticking hydro pedal.

How common? Don't hear of that much at all.

I had a sticking hydro pedal on my CK30, turns out where the pedal shaft enters case was never lubricated properly and it was rusty. Dealer pulled the shaft, sanded down the shaft and reamed out the case, greased the shaft and case and now it works great.

From what your listing your task will be, you don't think that your going a little big on tractor size? Looks like your biggest task will be mowing. I have 5 acres with 2 acres mowing and a 1200' driveway to take care of. Aside from the driveway work i actually think the SX3100 is big for what i need it for. I would think that the ex3200 is alittle heavy for mowing let alone the ck30. I will tell you that i am very pleased with the tractor so far. One year and 70 hours later i have nothing bad to say about the Yanmar. Good luck with your selection.

As a Kioti CK owner, I do think they are too heavy for mowing. Consider compaction. Might be OK depending on soil condition. Don't know about the Yanmar. As far as too big. Lot size doesn't dictate that, chores do. 1200 feet is a lot to remove snow from. The ideal mower and snow blower is the JD X700 series. Of course, you would be loader handicapped with one of these. There is no perfect machine. The CK's are great diggers and loaders. The JD X700's are the best mowers. In between, you've got the whole subcut class that compromise on both ends, but might be the best choice for some circumstances. One I would consider is the Mahindra Max and the JD 1-series, or bota B-series. I'm guessing Kubota still makes a small cab tractor comparable to the older B3030. That's a real nice general purpose platform that can mow, load, and blow snow very well. With the factory cab it is pretty sweet.

Just looked up the specs on the EX3200. It's lighter and has a couple more ponies. So, may be a slightly better mower. But the extra weight is an advantage for most other chores. Also the Yanmar lifts about 200 lbs less on the loader, and doesn't have as much hydraulic flow as the Kioti. The Yanmar also has a smaller fuel tank by more than a gallon. These are all small differences. So if sticking to these 2, you should pick the one that fits you best.
