Need Help Please
I have a 2000BD . For some reason the lift seems to be leaking down. At TIME NOT ALWAYS. I put a 4' bush hog on it today that is when i seem to notice it. When operating the lift and going to reaise close to the max I can hear a "hising sound under the seat" I can lower a alittle and the sound will change.
trying to find how to check and adjust the lift for proper list and adjustment. I noitced on the left side under the seat is a small bracket and adjustment screw. it moves with the lift /.Can anyone help. i do not want to damage my pump. Thanks Tim

I don't have any leakdown but I also am curious about that 'hissing sound'. I assume it is the pressure bypass.

When the lift lever is left full up, the loader hose goes rigid, a hiss is heard, and the engine is clearly working under load. Also, float position will make the loader rise instead of float down.

Back off a little, just short of where the 3-point implement will go down, and this stress eases, and Float works as expected.

I tried adjusting the stop for the lift handle, but this hiss and bypass occurs at any setting near the top. I've learned instinctively to pull the lever full up then back it off a half inch. It's second nature now.

Does anyone have some advice how to set this up so the maximum up position works as it should?

Tim, so long as the bypass works the pump is protected.

I wouldn't worry about it, mine has been doing that for 5 years, no need to bottom the lever at the top, (if I can say that ).

The lift arms reach max and hit a stop but hydraulic pressur is not completely released. The lift control can be adjusted to fix this or just put a screw and a small piece of metal to stop the leaver before it reaches full up.
