Yanmar 1702 lift problems

OK. Can you lift the 3pt arms up by hand and let them drop? If so, does it move smoothly or make noise?

BTW, did fluid and pump include new spin-on filter and cleaning out the fluid feed screen in the sump?
If not, might as well do that - it's probably not the problem, but you gotta do the good practice.

Then next step is to figure out if the ept is getting pressure. Best way is to put a gauge on a 3pt port - 3pts always have a gauging port. Don't just loosen a hydraulic line without a ton of protection; it's possible to get hurt, killed, or lose any eye if you put a wrench on a high pressure line and get hit with an oil spray. Terrrible way to spend the holidays... . Best to go with a gauge - about $20 for a 5000 psi gauge at Ace or HD or the auto parts place. Get the gauge plus a high pressure adapter with the same threads as where you plan to put the gauge.

For the adapter, best is a hydrauic house to get one that handles the pressure. It's the spray hazard again...Most Yanmars use British Standard pipe threads on all hydraulics and taps into rear end or engine castings. It will either be BSPP if it has an O ring, or BSPT if it is tapered. I think NAPA carries hydraulic adapters or used to.
